FOTL and Express Pass - same line?

We are going down next week and meeting friends who are staying at HRH and they will have FOTL access. Since it will be crowded next week I was thinking of getting the Express Power passes so we could do things together, but are there 2 different lines for each of them or could we go in the same line? Thanks!

Your HRH room keys are your express. All you need are those. They don't need to be scanned anywhere but the attraction you're going to. Even if you go repeatedly.

Of course they will be able to repeat the ride and you will be restricted to one time. I would think that they could use their park admission and also get you a regular express ticket (and of course you can do the same with your admission ticket) to use if you want to go more than once.

I just read this and then realized that the OP said her friends will have the HRH keys. Oops.

But the parks shouldn't be too crowded starting next week. This is the last big rush for a while...

Actually this is not totally correct........... FOTL and express are the same line, however, the differences are:

Resort guest can use thier room key for fotl, which entitles them to go into the express line and ride the ride as many times as they wish......... all day, the entire length of stay.

Express pass- you MUST either use your park entrance ticket to obtain an express pass from the machine outside the ride, with a time printed on it, at the time listed you can come back and ride using the express line.


OR

you purchase and express pass plus book, around $25.00, and with that you get express tickets, you can use one ticket per ride, ONE time, i.e. you use one for hulk, that's it, you CANNOT use another one for hulk........ these tickets are scanned at the ride you use them on, and therefore they know if you try to use it again.

SO, FOTL for resort guest is quite different than the other "express passes". I'd say for the most part, the people using the express line are on-site guest. The wait times are usually very short, compared to the regular lines.

AND Dark Maurader is correct it should not be too crowded next week .

Like Notatourist has said for no lines which is actually what FOTL stands for Front of the Line. If you use the Express pass or the allegid FOTL that the hotels give you you have a short line with less than a 15 minute wait. So in essence they are the same concept other than the hotel guest has an advanced express pass.

If you take one of the VIP tours you will have an actual FOTL pass. They bring you in through back doors and put you right on the ride.
