Fossil and Disney Vault to close

Just saw this on FB. I haven't seen it posted already, so apologies if I missed it.

Fossil and Disney Vault will close by the end of September to make way for a Star Wars Virtual Reality, that should be open for the holiday season.

YUCK, Disney! LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE. Going to rant here. Keep the stores, including Build A Bear. Put this Star Wars experience IN STAR WARS LAND, for crying outloud. Upgrade the food in the parks and people would not head out to other places to eat. Every time you have something halfway decent, you remove it from the menu or mess with it where it isn't as good and raise the price. Not good. While I'm at it, bring back the yummy goodie covered pretzel rods and the REAL Tigger Tails with the orange flavored coating instead of the sugar sprinkles. Bring back the fruit platter and breakfast platter at Tomorrowland Terrace. Keep the breakfast sandwich and little bowl of fruit, but bring back the platters. Put authentic smoke grilled food choices at Smokejumpers Grill, like smoked ribs and chicken. Keep burgers too. Cut the cost of parking for guests staying at the Disney Hotels in half, if not make it free again. Build a couple of parking structures instead of the lots you have. Spend the extra nickel and get Disneyland or Disney California Adventure printed on the products instead of Disney Parks. Same with clothing, etc. You would make so much more money in the long run by keeping the quality up and putting the name Disneyland Anaheim only on items instead of Disney Parks. Keep the Pixar Parade in DCA. No brainer since you are making Paradise Pier into Pixar Pier. Bring back the different swirl flavors of ice cream too. Cut the bonuses and stock options for you big wig suits if needed. Keep your CMs happy. Appreciate them and they will go the extra mile. While I am at it, Suits, do a week at the parks like us every day park goer. No special treatment, wait in the lines, crack open your wallet, so you can walk a bit in our shoes so you may understand at least my perspective. Okay, I will stop... for now.

This is Frozen deja vu. It must have worked for them with Frozen since they're using that as a model and making everything SW. One by one my favorite DtD shops have disappeared, or are about to. Pretty soon all that will be left is the same Disney stuff they have in the parks, Legos, and SW. I have zero interest in Legos or SW so that doesn't leave a whole lot. Well, I did buy a pair of flip flops at Sanuck once when my feet rebelled at my Dapper Day shoes a couple of years ago.

Went to Disney Vault 28 last night and the employees were pretty bummed about it. They said that the employees are shared between Vault, D-Street and Wonderground Gallery so their shifts will just be moved to one of those stores, so that's nice.

They also said the Anna and Elsa boutique will be closing..

She did say that it will still be a princess themed store, just no longer solely Anna and Elsa. So hopefully it will still be that alternative!

Well that I'm ok with! I just hope they keep the makeover element. I actually preferred it as Disney365.
