I saw the show on Travel Channel I learned so much I didn't know about WL and FTW.

My question is if you are not staying at either resort but are staying on property can you rent a golf cart to get around in ?

We are planning on doing an evening at FTW, having dinner @trails end, doing the petting zoo, and the campfire. It would be so nice after all that walking in the parks not to have to do it there. From what I gather things a spread apart.
Thanks:)

Yes you can, but it must be returned during their normal business hours. (In other words, I'm not sure the Bike Barn will still be open after the campfire).

I took quite a few pictures of FW when we were there in March, you can find them HERE. There are links at the top of the page to show you around the resort.

The Bike Barn is where you rent them? Is there a map somewhere of the grounds ie how to get to what? What time does the Bike barn close? Would it be easier to go by boat or by bus to get to the bike barn?
Thanks for the pics

Although the golf carts are fun, for just one evening I'd stick with the internal busses! You're right about walking, as most things are too far apart to walk anyway, but 2 of the 3 things you want to do are very close together.

The petting farm is right next to trail's end. It closes early, so you'll want to check on the times and do that before dinner. After dinner it's a short bus ride to the meadows area where the campfire/movie is. Your best bet is to ask one of the bus drivers which bus to take. The bus stop is also a short walk from trail's end.

Going back after the campfire you'll take another bus, probably back to the MK boat. You'll just want to double check how late it runs. And if it has stopped running when you are ready to leave, ask a bus driver the best way back to either the Polynesian or the TTC.

I know asking the bus drivers seems lame, but I have found it's the best way to make sure I get to the right place in FW!!

There are maps floating around. You can ask on the camping board. I don't have the links handy but I'll see if I can find them later.

there are maps here...

We have been thinking about camping here... haven't decided yet.
We keep going back and forth with this but we Are going in Nov stayng at ASmo.. will definitely be trying to get to the campfire once.

The Bike Barn is by the Meadows area - same place as the campfire program.

But, the Bike Barn closes too early to return your golf cart after the campfire program.

They are right - your best bet would be to visit the Trail's End, the petting zoo, and the blacksmith shop first since they are all in the same area. Then, just hop the internal bus to the Meadows area for the campfire program! :)
