Does anyone know about the campfire;and how much, and what is included in the smores kit? We are thinking about trying this out-we've never been there before:confused3 Thanks:goodvibes

Thanks geishagirl81 i'll do that! Didn't know there was a camping forum/community,as i am obsessed with park strategies and food!!!:rolleyes1

The campfire program has no admission fee and is open to all WDW resort guests. It generally begins around 7 p.m. during the fall/winter season and 8 p.m. after the time changes in April through the summer. It is held near the Meadow Trading Post in the campfire area. The program begins with a sing-along led by a Disney CM and a marshmallow roast around two campfire rings. You may bring your own marshmallows or buy them at the Chuckwagon (roasting sticks and marshmallows are $2). You may also buy pizza, hot dogs, candy, nachos, juice, popcorn, sodas, coffee, beer and other refreshments at the Chuckwagon. While this is going on, Chip and Dale make an appearance to visit with guests and sign autographs. The sing-along lasts about 40 minutes. Next, one or two Disney animated features, depending upon the season, are shown on a large outdoor screen. Seating is available in bleachers or on benches. There is also plenty of room to lay out a quilt or blanket. The movie schedule is posted at all comfort stations. In the event of rain, the sing-along is still held on the porch of the Meadow Trading Post.

You can call the FW main number to find out what movie is playing. 407-824-2900 The Meadow trading post is in the center of the campground. You can either park in the FW front parking lot and take an internal bus or take the boat from WL/CR/MK get off at the marina, walk past PH to Settlement Depot and board an internal bus.

The movie schedule is also posted at the beginning of every month on the Camping boards on the Dis. :thumbsup2

You can buy the s'more kit that comes complete with graham crackers, chocolate bars, marshmallows and the sticks. When you are done making them you just put the sticks into the pit and they are burned. Please just watch your little ones are the fire ring.

I consider the campfire the best thing at Disney. Not only do they get character interaction but the entire thing is free (short of buying the s'more pack for less than $5). We have even brought our own hot dogs and cooked them over the fire (have an RV on site). Enjoy!!
