Fort Wilderness to Gatorland and back

Hi,
My girlfriend won't stop whining unless I promise to take her to Gatorland on our upcoming trip. I wasn't planing on leaving Disney property at all so I wasn't going to rent a car.

What is the cheapest or easiest ways to get to Gatorland and back? I see that its only like 15 miles so would a taxi work, or should I just rent a car for the day.
