Do they have tents that they will put up for guests to use while camping at FW?

Yes I have actually seen CM's setting up tents before the guests arrive. You have to pay for this service of course and make these plans in advance. Go to the camping board for more FW advice :thumbsup2

Depending on the length of your stay it would probably be cheaper to purchase a tent. We got our huge Coleman tent on clearance at Target for $85.00. Even full-price it was only $125.00. Disney charges $30 per night to rent their tents so if you are staying more than 3 nights it would be a better deal to purchase your own. If you're interested in doing that check out WalMart and Target. They usually have a good selection of styles available.

lol, nm question answered while I was posting. Agree with the poster above except about Coleman. I'll never ever ever buy another coleman. I got one of those coleman specials except from walmart. It's huge and looks goood but I had a lot of leaking problems out of it. We spent an extra $25 on waterproffing during our trip because both the coleman tents leaked and they still leaked a bit after that. Before this trip I spent another $25 on sealent just to seal my one tent I'm going to be using...so it's been sprayed twice. I just hope that was enough and it doesn't leak this time.

Unless they have upgraded them, the tents are rather rustic, wall type tents (think of scout camp 30 years ago).

Wow, I'm sorry you've had such bad luck with your Colemans. We've had no problems with ours, nor with the Coleman we had previously. I researched this particular tent just after I bought it (so I could return it if the reviews were not good) and it had nearly all good reviews, both from other owners and media reviews. Hopefully yours is all sealed up now!

Happy Camping!

you might need to seam seal, not just spray. Seam seal goes on from a bottle with an applicator. The only tent we ever had that didn't leak is the one we have now - a dome from LLBean.

Thanks for the info.

Even if I had a $500 - $1000 tent from the best outfitter around, I would still seal it, and if I used the tent often, I would reseal it at least every 6-8 uses. Fabric is fabric folks.

The extra $$ for sealing the fabric and the seams is well worth it.

Nothing kills a camping trip more than a leaky tent on a rainy night.

1975, June. My first trip to WDW Ft.W, but we had camped numerous times in the mountains of AZ. The most memborable part of this camping trip?? The leaking tent and the hours in the laundromat after the rain. Leaking tents are no fun.
