Fort Wilderness Counter Service??

Hi! I hope someone can help me... I'm debating purchasing the DDP for my cabin stay June 27th through July 4th. According to the the DDP PDF brochure the 'Meadow Snack Bar' is counted as a CS restaurant at FW. I cannot find any mention of this restaurant on allears.net; the only reference to CS at FW on allears.net is 'Chuck Wagon' which looks like only snacks. I plan to have a big meal at the parks everday (TS) and find I have about 4 leftover CS meals I would like to use at FW. Does 'Meadows Snack Bar' still exist? Does it sell sandwiches and the like?

It is a seasonal snack bar at the pool. Since you will be there during high summer, it should be open then, but only during pool hours in the middle of the day.

There is pretty good counter service at the Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary. There is direct boat service to the Contemporary, and direct boat and bus service to the Wilderness Lodge. You can also walk or take your bikes to the Wilderness Lodge.

There is no real counter service at FW. Thats really the only problem with FW.

Correct. But its only open for the campfire and movie.

This is good to know. We are planning on staying at FW in January and was wondering about CS as well. Thanks for the info.

I didn't know this, thanks! How far is it to walk? Can you ride a golf cart? Sounds interesting!!

Nope can't ride a golf cart. It is about a mile down the trail. The trail starts near the stables.
