Fort Wilderness checkin time?

i'm guessing that - since there are no beds to be made or rooms to be cleaned - the checkin time for the Fort Wilderness camp sites should be sometime much earlier than the WDW resort norm of 400p. can anyone confirm or deny? we're headed down in MAY for our first stay at the campground and i couldn't find checkin info anywhere....

We have checked in as early as 11:00 a.m. with no problem. It just depends how busy they are the day before. Campers must be out by 11:00 a.m. and sites are cleaned off quickly. If people leave early there is usually someone cleaning off sites by 9:00 in the morning. If you can't check in for some reason you can always park in overflow parking and enjoy a couple hours inside FW anyway.

thanks...do you know if there is an "official" checkin time? for instance - guaranteed checkin by, say, 100p (as opposed to the 400p standard for all other WDW resorts)?

Official check in time for the campsites is 1 pm. For the cabins, it is 3 pm.

This past September, we were the first ones to arrive at about 8:00 am. They had our site ready and it was the exact site we had requested a few days before. It really just depends on whether your site is ready or not, which like was mentioned before is all based on how busy they were the night before.
