Hello,
I have been to WDW 5 times!! My husband and I are going with my sister and her husband. We we thinking of staying at the cabins::earsboy: Has anyone stayed at the cabins? And what did you think of them? We are planning to go the April 20 - 24, 2005. Thanks for the help::MinnieMo[

The cabins are wonderful and so are the campgrounds. We stayed there twice when our four kids were younger. There is one bedroom with a double bed and a set of bunks, a murphy bed in the living area, a full kitchen, and one bathroom. If I were going with another couple, I would prefer something with a little more privacy and our own bathroom. We have traveled and camped with family over the years and you certainly could make do with the cabins, but I'm not sure it would be the best way to go IMHO.

We loved the cabins. We stayed in Dec. 2001. We did Hoop-De-Doo at 5 p.m. then came out and did the hayride through the cabin/campground to see all of the xmas lights! It was beautiful! We didn't miss the snow from the north a bit. Our oldest went horseback riding the last morning before we left for the airport. . This is also where they hold Mickey's Backyard BBQ. They used to have a Chip & Dale movie event at night too, but I think that's been discontinued. Traveling to the other parks was not that bad, but at night coming from Magic Kingdom I would recommend NOT taking the launch to Ft. Wilderness and instead getting to the TTC via monorail or ferry then hop the bus to Ft. Wilderness. We stood for over half an hour with two sleeping three year old boys and two very tired daughters waiting for a bus that wasn't full to capacity at the outpost after getting off the launch. We also loved the convenience of having a full size stove, dishwasher, oven, fridge. The deck with grill was a nice bonus we took advantage of too. The pools were not crowded either. Very peaceful!

We have stayed at the cabins at least 3 times and we love them. We love the concierge at the other hotels but every once in a while it is nice to have lots of space, quiet and not feel like you should be doing something else. We will be staying there for Halloween. we just were at the PC in aug and going to bc conc. in Jan so we are looking forward to relaxing a little bit. Buy your food off site. Everything at Meadowlands is overpriced.. They did take out 2nd tv in bedroom so we will be bringing laptop for kids to watch a movie before bed in BR. My dh and I sleep on Murphy bed. Girls on double and we use the top bunk for clothe. I hope I have helped. Liz

I have not stayed in the cabins but have visited. I agree they would be better for a family since there is only one bathroom, unless the group are REALLY close.

It would beat having two couples share one resort room, though.

As far as I know they still do the free movie and campfire at Ft. Wilderness.
