We will watch Wishes at MK at 7pm on Mon Dec 15. We have PS at Hoop at 9:30 that same night. What will be going on at Ft Wilderness that can occupy our time?

With the MK closing at 7 Wishes will start at 7 then I believe that will take apx 20 min. Then are you riding the boat over to Ft. Wilderness for the show? The boats do get crowded after park closing so that could take up to an hour (worst case) I don't think you'll need anything else to occupy your time..but if you do have extra time I would stop over at Wilderness Lodge and check-out the Christmas decorations..It will be first stop of the boat you'll take to Ft. Wilderness Campground.

The Campground has hay rides you might want to check-out.

Have a great trip.

hello everyone!! This is my first post here!!!

Here are a few ideas:

Ft. Wilderness has a campfire and singalong and you can roast mellos (for a nominal fee for the sticks mellos and i think chocolate to make smores). They also have a movie after the roast.

or

You can take a carriage ride (ressies a must)

or

They have a hayride!

Have a great time!!!!!

Cathmailme:

The campfire and movie is at Ft. Wilderness Campground, not the Wilderness Lodge...It is outside so I would think weather would be a factor for some.
I'm not sure about scheduling, maybe someone else will post.

Welcome to The Dis....

It's not at the Wlderness Lodge. It's at Ft.Wilderness (same place that has the Hoop Dee Doo). I am not 100% pos. on this but I have read it is nightly. I think the movie starts at 8:00pm and when we were there we missed it but it did look like alot of fun for the kids! You can bring your own mellow with if you want. The carriage ride is really great too. My 7 yr old daughter loved it. They also have a really nice playground.

It is at Fort Wilderness. There is a camp fire to roast marshmellows. Chip and Dale show up to "sing" some songs and they go around for pictures. There is also a movie. Plan on doing this again with DD as it was fun when we did it a year and a half ago! For what movie is playing, just call FW at 407-824-2900

You may not have time to go to the campfire/movie between when you arrive at Ft. Wilderness by boat and when you are admitted for the Hoop-de-do Review.

From the marina, you will walk up to Pioneer Hall. There is a gift shop (of course), Crockett's Tavern where you can get a beverage, a petting zoo, small playground, etc. Crockett's Tavern has a covered porch with many rocking chairs, you might just want to relax with a beverage there.

You could also, stay at the beach by the marina and try to catch the water parade ... not sure what time that is.

Another option is one that a previous poster said -- take the ferry and get off at Wilderness Lodge and take a look around, visit the gift shop, etc. and then catch the ferry again to Ft. Wilderness and Pioneer Hall.

I really don't think you'll have a problem filling the time.

I would think that you will be getting there just in time or not much before time to check in at Pioneer Hall, have your pics taken, but if you do get there any earlier, I would say sight see. Go into the Settlement Trading Post and look around, sit in the rockers on the porch at the Trails End and enjoy people watching, for sure you won't have enough time to do the movie or marshmellow roast. You should be timing it just right. Have fun.
