Way back in 1975 I went to WDW for the first time and keep wanting to think that we (parents, sister + I) took the boat over to the fort to look around. My parents have had a TT for as long as I can remember and we were camping back then only not at the Fort so my parents wanted to look around. Now here is the part I'm fuzzy on, was there ever an afternoon entertainment at Pioneer hall ? I keep thinking we went there and had lunch and there was entertainment, my parents can't remember and I'm looking for some help from anyone who was around back then to either confirm this memory or tell me it must have been a dream. Thanks

I don't remember Pioneer Hall having an afternoon show. You are probably thinking of the Diomand Horseshoe Review at MK. The review was sort of a can can/variety type show, sandwiches, chips and sodas were the usual fare for lunch(I think, never really liked the lunch, just the show)

There used to be a breakfast with Chip and Dale..at least there was back in
'91. Don't know if they had that in '75. The character breakfasts usually run until 11:30 am or so. Although I have no idea if Disney was even doing that type of thing back then.

They had a breakfast show featuring Melvin the Moose and assorted Disney characters. Perhaps that's what you are remembering??

The "Banjo Man" at Crockett's Tavern was one of our favorite entertainers back in the 70's. He reminded us of Jim Stafford.

It very well might have been the diamond horseshoe, can can dancers seems right. Is the mind the first thing to go, no the eyes must be the first, can't read without glasses now I can't remember things correctly. I don't like getting old.
