Good morning all you folks on the other side of the world.

Beer is good!

Lol, Oh Karla! You made me smile. :)
When my younger two kids were very little(pre-schoolers) I used to go into their rooms in the morning..pull up the shades :sunny: and sing the song they sang each week in Sunday School
:music: "Rise, and Shine..give God the glory, glory, children of the Lord!". :littleangel:
Funny part was... they had trouble with the word "glory"..and instead they would sing it as... "girlie" After a while, I gave up trying to teach them to say "glory"..and we'd sing it their way!..Sounded kind of strange..."give God the girlie, girlie!".. :rotfl: But, hey they were happy with it!

If I was ever brave enough to enter their rooms these days :tiptoe: (which I am definetly not :rolleyes1)
I'd have a pillow stuffed down my throat :scared: if I were to pull up the shade and utter a word, let alone sing anything! :rotfl:

I'd don't know why:confused3 ..I'm sure I have a perfectly lovely voice....:snooty:

"The Lord said to Noah: there's going to be a floody, floody,
the Lord said to Noah: there's going to be a floody, floody
Get those children out of the muddy, muddy,
Children of the Lord
So Noah, he built him, he built him an arky, arky,
Noah, he built him, he built him an arky, arky,
Built it out of gopher barky, barky,
Children of the Lord
The animals, the animals, they came on by twosies, twosies",...........

I'm sure you know the rest, lol

Phyllis, I'm glad I was able to make you smile :)
I LOL at the Give God the girlie - what a great memory for you.
And, may I suggest a remote controlled recording of the song so you can just press a button and it will start playing in their rooms. Do it. They'll LOVE it, LOL.

:surfweb: Morning all.
Overcast and chilly day here on Long Island.:cold:

I'm almost ready to put the heat on..but holding out until it's at least October 15th...don't know why, but I use that as a guideline. Now..it's become a contest. Each year..can we hold out without heat until mid October? I'm getting dirty looks of disgust from my family. :sad2:You know it's a wee bit chilly when you're getting ready for work in the morning and can see your breath in the air! (I'm only kidding on that..but ya never know..if they keep aggravating me, I may make them wait till then!:rolleyes1) My sister is hoping to wait until November 1st, before they turn on their heating system... I'm not sure we can do that...but we'll see who wins!
Once the heat goes on..then the the big winter gas bills start as well. :headache:
Florida is looking better every year. :wizard:
