Okay..this makes me want to vomit! WTH Maybe they'll take my neighbors with them!

I read this after cornering my Indian neighbor lady..(who lives diagonally across the street)...seems she suddenly isn't be able to speak English. The house right next door to us sold (after some 3 years) and the old neighbors moved out. No saying goodbye to anyone. They've been basically just checking on the house for several months..as they both live in NYC now. Today I saw this woman who lives across the street go in the house and receive a delivery of new appliances. I figure they must have bought the house. Ask her if she owns it?...NO ENGLISH. Looking at me as if she doesn't understand me. I KNOW she speaks English. Her middle school aged son..tells me "don't worry, we are just taking care of the house". Again..I ask her, Did you buy it? He tells me they are taking care of it for "friends" Oh great. "WHERE are the owners?...IS it a family?"...I ask. She shrugs her shoulders that she doesn't know.
I saw someone taking pictures of the house last week. I figure it was a realtor..and I ask her "Are they renting the house out?"...She had to leave pretty quick. Kid again tells me "don't worry..." Ummmm...hello..if you are taking care of the house, maybe you can get rid of the mattress on the driveway that's been left out in the rain. The newspapers on the sidewalk(that I pick up)..the garbage cans that have been out at the curb..that I took in. Yet they are living across the street... watching stupid ol' me pick up after this empty house. WTH? I tell ya..they better take that mattress out or I'm gonna heave it onto her front lawn tomorrow! They can take a flying mattress ride back to India!

Hey Phyllis,,I'm pretty sure I work with their son ! He's a complete NIT-WIT ,,it's gotta be their son !!

Nah, Denise. I wish I were going. I'm waiting for a real estate appraiser to arrive as we're going for a re-fi on the mortgage. We received an offer from BOA (our current mortgage company) that we couldn't refuse. It drops our interest rate to 4.5%, and will save around $350/month. We've figured out that at our age, our mortgage will be around longer than we will be, so why not???

Perhaps this evening we'll take a trip to Epcot. I hope it's a "celebratory" trip if Rick gets good news from Publix.

We're in the process of a refi. Taking it from 30 to 15 years and the rate drops to 4.375%. Adds about $50-60 to our current payment, but shortens the payment by 12 years. Never thought we'd be able to do a 15-year finance on this house.

Oh, how I wish we were in a financial position to do a 15 year mortgage. We had one on our previous house and if we had stayed there, it would have paid off in 2007. If I could turn back time!!

Good luck to you Rob. Good luck to both of us!! Our credit & income is fine. Our final approval is hanging on the appraisal. I don't know what they will use for comps because our development is so specialized to RV owners, and virtually nothing has sold in here in about 1.5 years. We've actually had two repo's in the past 6 months. That can hurt us. On the plus side....we're not in a position where we have to re-fi. It would just give us a little more breathing room financially.

My sister recently had her mortgage modified..through GMAC (she was having tough times...her title business closed the year before)..anyway, she saved $400.00 a month on her mortgage, and she was able to keep her home. It was so nice to hear of someone who really needed a break...get one.
She too had a rate of 4.5 percent!.

We have a 5.75 rate..and she said it usually makes sense to look into refi's when there is a least a point difference between your rate..and the current rate. We are giving refinancing some thought as well. Might be the smart thing to do. Good luck with your appraisal, you do have a beautiful home! I'd live in the RV port and pitch a tent if you'd let me! We're also looking into going 15 years with 4.something here soon. (Also to get rid of the PMI we're paying) After the upgrades are done, that should be no problem.

Well, here it is....Saturday! I have to work at THD today but when I get home I'm planning on getting some drive time in on the motor home. Gotta get ready to take 'er over to FtW MD weekend!!

WARNING!!!

Things got in the way of my practice RV driving yesterday...so I'm aiming for this afternoon. We may even take the bikes & drive the RV to the Fort. A little pleasure with business - and the RV really needs to be driven. It's not good for a diesel to sit too long. I also wish to gain experience entering & exiting an interstate so that I'm comfortable doing it by myself in a few weeks.

through you, so I expect an update with all the details!

I've already been to JFK airport this morning. Droped off my son..he'll be arriving in Sarasota around 10:00 am! Spending the week in Anna Maria. He's talked Bob and I into joining him mid week.
Since he's payin'...we're taking him up on the offer! It wasn't easy, but I've convinced Bob that his recovery requires a few days in the warm Florida sunshine! ssst:...now if he's feeling up to it..I'd love to squeeze in a day visit to Epcot for Flower and Garden...we'll see.)
