Hey Deb, hows that stop smoking thingy coming along ?

Not trying to be nosey......
YES I AM !! It just comes natural to me !

All I can say is... I lasted a little over a week. I actually quit once for about 4 years. Why I started up again has to do with going out, winning a $500 karaoke contest, drinking too much beer, and...well too much beer someone offers you a smoke - voila!! I'm stupid!

Good Morning...it is FREEZING here in NY.

Everything is covered with frost. Nice and sunny though..hopefully it warms up soon.

Have to plant tulip bulbs for spring today...something to look forward to over the winter.

It's Saturday and I'm going to Hollywood Studios today and I finally beat Des and Mike up to post 1st here for once lol.

We had some much needed rain at our home yesterday ! I believe it was the 2nd. or 3rd. time it rain here since spring,,,the most dry summer on record, also the most beautiful summer on record !

It's Saturday and I'm going to Hollywood Studios today and I finally beat Des and Mike up to post 1st here for once lol.

It's Saturday, and I slept in til 8am!! (While Donnie was driving to HS!)

Are you sick? I got a flu shot and a pneumonia shot on Thursday and thought about your experience - but I feel fine. I've never had either one before but the Dr said I should.

BTW I was up at 6:15 but then came to my senses and went back to bed. It's rainin here today! Might make a big batch of chile

Nope...I was just really tired from putting in a 60 hour week and staying up too late 2 nights in a row to watch the series.

By the way.... the word is spelled Chili not Chile!! Chile is a country, not a bean stew that gives you gas!

I think I was already coming down with a URI when I got the flu shot - I already had a sore throat - so, I don't think the shot had anything to do with it.

Do you put beans in your chilli ?
In the south (the born here southerners) in my experience, tend to make chilli rather bland , leaning toward a slight mexican flavor. (best way i can splain it)
My mom use'ta make a sweet northen style chilli with lots of spices and would sometimes use macaroni instead of beans. REALLY GOOD.

Oh yeah - and lots of peppers - I lived in Texas for a few years and they make some mean chili there - made some once with beef, buffalo meat, pork and rattlesnake - it was very hot and very, very, very good!

For me chili should be a religious experience. How was your FW trip?

In the south (the born here southerners) in my experience, tend to make chilli rather bland , leaning toward a slight mexican flavor. (best way i can splain it)
My mom use'ta make a sweet northen style chilli with lots of spices and would sometimes use macaroni instead of beans. REALLY GOOD.

How can it be chili without BEANS---the MUSICAL fruit!!! I've heard of meatless chili...but beanless chili?? That's just wrong on so many levels!! I like my chili spicy!

How about beans & macaroni? Chili-Mac??

Drive safely, Carol! It's a gloomy, rainy day here. It's supposed to be that way most all day. DH has won the battle of me driving the MH over to FtW. Some arguements aren't worth your breath - and after 35 years, I know how to choose my battles. So....we'll be there Wed. nite. I got my really cool Halloween blow-up this week!!!
