Okay, we also have been looking at the cheaper verandah rooms. My concern is that they all look like they are at the rear of the ship. What about motion? I know I shouldn't worry, but I don't like flying and I don't do wild rides. This is really a concern of mine. Any opinions?

The middle of the ship is best....both end to end and middle deck. If you can't get the middle, try to get as close to it as possible or I've heard the rear is better than the front. According to many cruisers, the front of the ship sees the most motion.

I think the rear is better than the front but the middle to somewhat rear is best...in my opinion.

Beachy is right. Middle is best and rear is definitely better than the front. Stay away from the front if you are prone to motion sickness.

Just sent Rhonda a email about booking our cruise. I needed some figures, as soon as she gets them to me I am booking it. I don't know if I can wait 18 months. If I wish for it to hurry up, I feel like I am wishing my life away.

Ok...Ive been doing some deck plan studying and matching the categories up to their positions on the boat. It doesnt appear that 6A &6B will have those "Navigators Verandas", BUT most the are located facing the rear of the ship with the solid-wall vs plexiglass covered railings. Ive looked and matched and rematched and re-looked......I dont think that any of the verandas will be the Navigators Veranda type on this ship...but what do I really know.

Im thinking Category 5A is the surest bet of a perfect setting. What categories are you guys considering?

I am lucky because I do have some Fort trips booked and a trip to Key West coming up in June, but for some reason I am looking forward to this more than those trips. I just hope nothing happens between now and then.
I am working on putting my Mother in an assisted living place and guess this is helping me keep my mind off of that and all the work that is involved. I will have to pack up her whole apt to get it sold and I feel a bit overwhelmed right now. So I do need something to look forward to even thou it''s 18 months away.

BTW did you see the link on the magnets for the doors on the ship? People go all out, like they do with decorations at the FT. I do want to do some for my door, also want to do the Fish Extender if everyone is interested in doing it.

Sorry you're having a bad day. Hope things go a little smoother. This is rough. We did this with my grandparents. It stinks.
