Pete, I believe the deposits ($200.00 pp) are refundable as long as you cancel 75 days out? Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. ILO.

Wow!!! That was FAST!!! I wannna know your secret....as long as it's legal. :lmao:

Kelly, where did I get this awful reputation of being such a fiendish character????:littleangel:

There is a convention of Orthopedic Surgeons in town right now...its been a pretty good week at work!!!

Rog - a few thoughts came to mind when you mention it being a busy week at work due to the orthopedic surgeons, but I have a feeling I might be walking a thin line around here, so they'll have to go untold. :lmao:

:boat:
Anyone notice that the square footage in the cabins on the Dream is smaller than the square footage of the the cabins on the Magic and Wonder?..:confused3
Dream... cabins are about 203 sq. ft...while the cabins are larger on the Wonder and the Magic.(around 260). The Deluxe family verandah rooms on the Dream are about what the regular verandah rooms are on the Wonder or Magic.

Sorry, Rog! We all know you're a good guy! I just like to think of you as a badazz. :lmao: All hail the horndog orhtopedic surgeons on convention!! :worship:

Everytime I went past your Flaming Fiends, Rog, my grandson says "Stop pop pop there's Rog" everytime i have to explain that your a nice guy lol.
He also has been seeing the TV ads for the Atlantis and tells me how I can take him there.

Thanks, Kell...I dont mind being thought of as a badazz(as long as ya'll no that nothing could be further from the truth!)

Bob.....thats cute. Kids are rarely ever intimidated by me, I think kids feel vibes, where adults judge appearances....some of them DO get nervous from the flaming Mickey head, though!! :)

These are the sizes of the Verandah cabins..the inside staterooms are smaller still.
I'm just wondering...anyone who's sailed on the Magic or the Wonder...as compared to this new ship. Seems like these rooms are about 50 sq. feet smaller. That seems like quite a bit to me.
Or...do I have this wrong?...
Also the quote I got for a Verandah room...apparently that was for a Verandahs with solid white walls, and a large port hole you look out of. Meaning..they're not the clear plexi glass verandahs. you'd have to be standing to see out and over. Hmm..not so happy with that.

Just one more thing...I was concerned because I've seen it discussed in the cruise forum..that the queen bed doesn't split on the Dream cruises. Although when you look at the accomodations, it says ...Queen, or two twins? So I'm not sure what's up with that either. I was considering a separate room for my 18 and 22 year old,(boy and a girl) and they sure aren't going to share a bed. One would still be on a couch..seems like a lot to spend if one of them is gonna end up on a couch anyway. Then again, I'm paying adult fairs for them.. and it wasn't all that much more to get them an inside room. I figured better to have the space and bathroom.
Anyway...just throwing those things out there....see what you all knew.

The staterooms with PORTHOLES are called OCEANVIEWs....the VERANDA ROOM actually have a BALCONY with 2 chairs and a small table for sitting outside.

Im hoping NOT to find 2 twin beds in my room....that would be strange!!
Here's a link with pretty detailed descriptions of every type of room setup on the DREAM.

There are 6 basic types:
1.Standard Inside (fake HD porthole)
2.Delux Inside (fake HD porthole)
3.Delux Oceanview(large porthole)
4.Delux Family Oceanview(large porthole)
5.Delux Oceanview With Veranda(balcony)
6.Delux Family Oceanview With Veranda(balcony)

(click on the floorplans of each of the above links)

The difference, as far as I can tell, is that the NON FAMILY rooms sleep 3-4(except for the standard inside..they sleep 2-3). The FAMILY rooms sleep 4-5. There is a fold out couch, and/or upper-berth (pulldown from cieling)bed in all rooms...the FAMILY rooms have both of those PLUS a MURPHY TYPE BED.

Phyllis..in your situation...Id prefer 2 rooms...if you got the kids a standard inside(the 169 sq ft rooms) they all have 2 twin beds...and that extra bathroom would be a blessing with 4 adults!!!

Yes,. but the first level of "verandah view"..is not the clear plexi glass type..it is enclosed with white walls, with a large..sort of oval port hole to look out. It is a verandah as it's separate from the room with seating..but you would need to stand to see over..you would not see right out. Called whitewall verandahs. If you want a clear plexi..the rate is higher.

The inside stateroom..Deluxe.. Just queen. That's what they were discussing on the cruise forum. Some folks were saying how you don't always travel with someone you want to share a bed with. As in our case..with two grown kids (one of which is 6'4" tall)...he ain't goin' on a pull down berth. LOL! They were commenting as to how the beds on the Dream won't split to become twin like they do on the Wonder or the Magic.

Okay..edited to say that I "see" where when you compare the rooms they mention that they can be twin or queen..but worried that the discussion on the forum indicated the Dream....beds won't be the same as those on the Wonder or Magic and they won't separate. I certainly hope that's wrong..but I'm not sure what to believe.
I would certainly choose to go with another room as the cost compared to adding the additional adults to our room is not that much more than an additional inside state room. Which would give everyone more space all around. I'm not staying in with those kids!
The additional cost would be if we wanted them on the same floor as us..if we upgraded to a verandah with a plexi glass, rather than the white wall verandah.
I don't know...my head is spinning....lol!

Rog, have you seen this link? http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2281626, all sorts o great decorations on the doors. You have to start working now to design things for us to print and hang on our doors. I can cut plain mickey heads with the die cutting machine I have and add magnets. Maybe we all can do something for everyone. What do u think!!!

Really????? Where did you find this information...this concerns me heavily!!!
