Has anyone been able to watch an F1 race on a sea day onboard DCL? We will be on the Dream at sea on Mar 19, which is the second Grand Prix of the season. Depending on the which night we change time headed to Grand Cayman, I think the race will be either 12:00 or 1:00pm ship time. I'm sure a complicating factor will be that it conflicts with the time NCAA March Madness games will be starting. So I'm not holding my breath, I guess.

We have not watched a race onboard, but the crew in the sports bar (687) do their best to show what people ask for. Of course, this is dependent on the event being available - some events are blocked or on a channel they cannot get.

You are correct that if the bar is full of people that want to watch basketball, they might not turn on racing. This happened to us last summer. We were hoping to see the softball national championship game, but as we were the only ones, they would not show it.

That's what I'm guessing will happen. Thanks for the feedback!

Middle of the day on day at sea, would think the sports bar may not be too busy. Also, with the number of TVs could be a good chance to get at least one on the race (especially since it is on ESPN i believe, which is a Disney company so they should show their own stuff)

Good luck. I wanted a NASCAR feed and they didn't have any. And if there is a popular event (March Madness or NCAA) they might not want to put on an FS1. I was even outvoted in the sports bar because I wanted World Series and I was outvoted.

Can't remember what F1 is shown on right now. That may be the biggest issue. We record it and watch later, especially since the times can be wonky.

My husband just pointed out that ESPN is on the stateroom TV, being Disney owned.

Yeah with NASCAR being Fox/NBC I have never found it on board. You might have luck in O'Gills. In the past it hasn't been super crowded during the day unless they are doing a class trivia in O'Gill's.

F1 is on ESPN so that will help! Although its harder to watch practice and qualifying on board. I have usually been able to get one of the tvs in crown & fin/ O'gills to be changed to F1 and Premiere League as needed in the past- even when other programming was on other tvs. I can be a bit obsessive so I tend to swing by on the first day to say hi and introduce myself and tell them what games/races I am hype about.... :)

good luck!
