Former Lasagne Lovers Meet Here!!!

Well apparently the word is out that "I better not show up over there (but not quite in that language if you know what I mean)".:rotfl2: Uh, okay, sure, whatever you say.;) Ain't censorship, threats, and cowardice grand, since people can't say things directly to you, but feel all big and powerful on a messageboard.

Yeah, God bless most of us.;):rotfl:

Hi all. Wanted to drop in for a quick update on my husband. He is back in the hospital with fluid built up in the lungs and a blood clot in his leg. He has pnemounia-Its looks like when he comes home this time it will be with oxygen.
My youngest will leave Sat for Iraq so now all three will be gone.
Getting more done around the house since I only read this thread.
Husband will have someone come to the house for PT once he gets home. I think the hardest for me is to see the man I married 42 years loose all his engery and not want to do much of anything. He has such a hard time and is always short of breath.
Sorry this is long but just feeling a little sorry for myself.
Okay back to the real world and off the pity me one.

Good wishes to all
Sandy

Awww Sandy, I'm so sorry.

Bless your sons for their service!!!
Hope all will be well for you and your husband:grouphug:

Yeah, I'm not necessarily looking for a debate board, just looking for a good board to discuss Disney.

I also updated my sig, the other one was rather dated. This one gives people a glimpse into my interests.

This still is a good board for Disney discussions. Too bad about the censorship of other things though.

Just checking in to say hi.:wave2: Things are just no fun here on the CB anymore. On the plus side I won't be on the computer as much which will make my teenagers happy. They like to just their my space pages all the time.
Anyhoo, I miss comiserating with you guys. :sad1:

ITA!!

Hey all, you are making me hungry for lasagna but unfortunately I can't indulge myself.

I am heading to Disney this Friday but unfortunately my DS broke his foot yesterday and my neighbor's child exposed us to strep throat by playing with my kids. Why do these kind of things always happen at the most inopportune times?

I hope he will feel up to it by then, and none of you get sick.

I don't know that I ever got to post on the old thread but I am quite the lasagna lover (as are most other Army wives that I know).

Just wanted to say hello! :wave2:

:flower3:

Hi all. Wow, take a couple days break from the computer, and I guess things change a lot. That'll teach me! :rotfl2:

As a Garfield fan since childhood, methinks he should be our thread mascot. He's all about the lasagna!

Those of you who were keeping my grandmother in your thoughts and prayers, it's much appreciated. She got her test results back (fluid tests and 6  more x-rays of her lungs), and the "small spot" the original doctor's office saw on her lungs turned out to be scar tissue from pneumonia. She had it back in the 1930s, I believe. This specialist's office had better x-ray machines and saw what it was right away. The original doctor then saw them and said the same thing. The original office then told my grandmother: "Our machine isn't any good, so whenever we see something on an x-ray, we have no clue what it is." Oh, how nice. Anyway, as of now they think the fluid problem is due to an iron and potassium deficiency. How that translates into fluid, I don't know, but they're testing one last vial of blood before putting her on potassium and iron pills. I'm just thankful her lungs are okay! :goodvibes They said her heart is slightly enlarged in one area, but it's so insignificant that it's nothing to be concerned about. Whew. Good news was a welcome change, that's for sure! :yay:

:thumbsup2

That's great news! Thanks for the update!

**cruisin' the cb** I feel like I'm living in a sequel of the Stepford Wives.:scared:
::yes::

This is exciting.

:faint:

Isn't it, though. At least I won't be online as much...

You know what? That's the most happening thing on the CB.

Good grief.:scared: I think, we are to supposed to shrivel up and die from boredom.

I was wondering if that was the motive. If we get bored and leave, all topics could open back up since everyone left would be in agreement with all posts.

:wave2: to all the new "faces". It seems like we are growing in number even with the new rules.:scratchin

Is anyone a fan of the old SchoolHouse Rock's from Saturday mornings?

I love the history ones - especially the one no more kings. My little one loves them too. Ah - good memories.

I'm just a bill.
Yes, I'm only a bill.
And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To the capital city.
It's a long, long wait
While I'm sitting in committee,
But I know I'll be a law someday
At least I hope and pray that I will,
But today I am still just a bill.

Figured this would have some relevance in today's age....except the highlighted parts.:rotfl2::lmao:

I just hope and pray (oops thats religious) that we aren't eventually banned from enjoying our lasagna and forced to eat arugula.

YEP.

Did they air these clips in all 50 states? Just wondering. It seems like some people never saw these.

Everytime I hear the word arugula all I can think of is Steve Martin's character in My Blue Heaven. :rotfl:

Disregard of the policy relating to political content will result in this thread being closed if it continues.

OOOOHH-ME!! :yay:

I got 20 extra credit points in 5th grade social studies because I could recite the preamble to the Constitution-thanks to Schoolhouse Rock! The teacher was also giving out points to those who could recite the Gettysburg address, but that wasn't a Schoolhouse Rock song, so I didn't!

I have the DVD with all the ones on it-I wish they made the CD's still with all the ones on them-esp. the math one. I could put it in my car and my kids could learn their times tables that way. I've seen the CD's on eBay, but they're around $50.00 each. :scared1:

Yes, I'm a 70's/80's child-I had wings AND big hair (not at the same time, though!) :cool1:

Everyone in my 6th grade class - sang the Preamble :rotfl: If you know it through SHR it is impossible not to sing at least a little. I have the DVD too -- I need to get the CD for the car. My little one has learned her 3 tables from 3 is a magic number.... We've also acquired The Electric Company. Unbelievable the number of big name stars on EC. Gene Wilder was Letterman.

I LOVED Electric Company! Our library has EC-I should check it out.

I will have to get a DVD of all those SHR (if my wife doesn't already have it) in a few years for my son (DS0).
