Formal Wear

My DH wanted to wear his dress uniform too. I have heard of others doing this. By the way I saw that you are in the suffolk area. WE live in California now, but I am from Chesapeake. Right now we are wishing that we could be a little closer to home. But as far as your question I was just planning on taking his suit. I am interested if any one esle has done so though.

We have seen several military people in their dress uniforms on formal nights. If he wants to pack and bring it, it is certainly appropriate. Guys also wear anything from a sports coat and tie to suit to tux.

I would certainly think that it would be very nice for him to wear this on formal night. It will make a wonderful family picture & I would bet that he will get alot of positive attention...even from Mickey. :)

I think it's wonderful he would want to wear his dress uniform. It also gives us an opportunity to thank him (and you) for his service to our country.

Hi! I too am from Chesapeake, VA...Deep Creek area to be exact. We are now in the Portsmouth area, really close to Chesapeake Square Mall-Western Branch area. We are going on the Wonder May15th and our friends just got back and they saw military wearing dress uniforms as well.

I was going to write the same thing.

There was a nice young family on our deck last time.

Turns out he was a Gunny sargeant in the USMC.

How do I know, he wore he dress blues.

I have met a lot of men and women in the service, and they all seem to like to hear "Thank you for your service to our country."

Our last cruise there were several military men who wore their dress uniforms and they looked wonderful . Also it gave them a chance to have pictures with their families while in uniform.

Could an active duty Navy officer wear his mess dress uniform in lieu of a tux on formal night?

Kathy

On behalf of every other woman on the ship, I say PLEASE DO. DH used to be in the air force and although he sure can wear a tux, I kind of miss the uniform.
