Formal wear undergarments

Hi ladies,


All I really need for my dress is the undergarments because I'll be getting my veil online. Do any of you know of a great online store and exactly what I need so that I won't have to bother with David's?

BTW it is a strapless dress w/ a snug fit on the bodice to hold it up and a built in crinoline

I got my slip from fredricks.
its amazing! its boned and holds me in well gave me great lift in the chest area.
and it doesnt ride up when I walk
Its convertable so it can be worn strapless.
I got it in black but they have it in white and pink too I think.

Now that looks actually comfortable to me. I'm looking around and what I would like to have is something like that will hold in the tummy and hug the hips (kinda like spanx) and that I can actually have strapless.(So the shaper kind like yours would be ideal)

Now, another problem I'm having is that my dress has a built in crinoline so I definitely don't need another, but for some reason they didn't put any of the smooth material in to keep the material from scratching my legs. When I look up bridal slips they are ALL poof crinolines. Do I just buy a regular dress slip from VS?


ETA: I just realized that my underwear ensemble is going to be hilarious! A corset, thigh hugger combo with a long slip. It sure will look funny but at least it will be under the dress! Better make sure I switch undergarments BEFORE the honeymoon, because thats about as far from sexy as you can get

I actually just wore a regular strapless bra (Body by Victoria) and underwear, with nothing on my legs. It was way too hot and I couldn't stand the thought of wearing anything else. I think my crinoline did have a soft layer in between, but I really don't remember. I definitely don't remember it bothering me.

Well if If you decide to go with the shaper you dont need another bra or anything to go with it.
What I would do is wear the shaper then a long skirt only Slip just to protect your legs. Because Tule can really really make your legs all itchy.

I got my undergarmets from Victoria's Secret. Look at their website online...it's great! They have so much more stuff online, then they do in the actual store. Some really cute wedding stuff too!
