How many formal nights are there on the 7 day cruise, and how formal is it? Can you wear a nice pant suit or does it have to be a formal dress? Thanks for any help.

Sunday and Thursday are formal nights, with Thursday being the less formal of the two. You will be fine in a pants suit. You will see anywhere from tuxes and ball gowns to khaki's and dress shirt for the guys and pants suit for the gals. They do request that the men wear jackets for formal nights.

Men are also requested to wear jackets in Lumiere's and Palo's -- but you will see many in khaki's and a nice shirt as well.

:)

Wovenwonder, Are those the formal nights for the Western cruise also?

Have you ever stayed at Wilow Valley, we LOVE that place.

Formal nights for the Western itinerary have not yet been announced, but we assume there will be at least one formal night. Typically they are on SEA days, though, so it remains to be seen if that will be the case with the Western cruise.

Now I am confused!? I thought Sunday was the semi formal and Thursday was the FORMAL night? Do I have this backwards? We are on the March 30th 7 day Magic Eastern Carribean cruise. I need to know this ... because we plan to try and get Palo reservations for the FORMAL night (which ever it turns out to be) since we are not planning to do the TUX/FORMAL thing - and are willing to dress up in a suit and dress - but NO MORE! LOL!

HELP! I really need to know this!

DixieDreamer, SUNDAY is the formal night on the Eastern itinerary, and Thursday is the semi-formal night. :)

Michelle, I asked the CM at DCL a few weeks ago when I booked. She told me the nights for both eastern and western would remain the same. I inquired as we'd be in Key West on Sunday night and she assured me it would still the formal night. Did I have a CM who didn't truly know?

I honestly don't know, Renee, they may very well leave the formal nights as Sunday and Thursday on the Western itinerary. It does seem a little odd to have a formal night on a port day but they may do that.
