Formal night on 3 day Wonder???

I am confused (go figure), just got off the telephone with DCL, they said there is not a formal night on the 3 night Wonder, no need to pack DH's suit and my fancy dress? I could have swarn in August there was, I know we got all dressed up?

Have things changed? Are say dockers and polos or print button up shirts fine for men? Or was I misled?

You may have gotten dressed up for semi formal/Captains dinner night, but on the 3/4 day cruises, there are no formal nights. You can dress up as much as you want. I think it's nice to see guys in their tuxes and ladies in fancy dresses, cocktail or formal. As far as the mens guidelines, that is how it was in 2000 when I sailed. They do request no jeans or shorts in the dining rooms, but many people think that doesn't mean them, it's for other people!

That is correct there is no formal night on the three day, however on the night you have dinner in Tritons you can dress up. We are going on the 27th and DH is wearing a jacet and slacks. I am wearing a black dress with a chiffon jacket and a little it of beading on it. My sister is wearing a dressy dress. My neice wore a sequence type top and black slacks with a chiffon sjirt. I hope this helps.

Thanks, though I enjoy dressing up, on the 3 nighter, it is a pain. I may pack DH a nice long sleeve shirt and tie, and I can always pull something off with slacks and a nice top, the kids are easy. Just trying to figure out packing for an 8 night trip and the kids have no clue about the additonal 3 nights on the ship!!! I may just pack my husband his linen sport jacket, he can wear a silk T under that and it would look great! Dressy, but still casual.
