Forgotten Toll...

Just found an old toll slip from the Florida Turnpike among some papers in the office. Totally forgot about it. Went through the toll back from before Christmas. We were not aware that they did not take debit/credit cards and we did not have enough change/cash for the $3.00 toll. We were able to pay the next $0.75 toll in change. Since its been almost 3 months should I be worried about this unpaid toll? Did I just experience some Disney magic by being forgiven of it?

Was this violation notice sent to you at home later or was it issued at the toll plaza on the spot?

Your own car or a rental?

Too early to say now but the unpaid toll could possibly be found on your record when it comes to renewing your drivers license and you would have to pay it plus penalties then.

The best thing to do on the spot (too late for you now and not guaranteed for next time) is to mail in the toll the same day or the next. Use your smart phone to get the address if you did not find the address posted on the toll booth wall.

They did not give me a violation notice. They gave me what looks like a reminder business card with the amount and toll facility/mile # on the back. It was in my own car. However, they did not fill out the date, time or mark my license state and tag # on the card.

Are they just asking for the $3 or is there a service charge? You admit you went through the toll, why not just pay it and forget it?
