Forget email notifications, alerts are not showing new posts in watched threads

I'm willing to take some responsibility for not getting email notifications. I thought I had it figured out. http://www.disboards.com/threads/email-notifications-going-to-junk.3379177/ This change worked for a while but I'm not getting any emails now. I'm willing to overlook this because my soon to be former spam management program needs to be derezzed.

But I'm also not getting any "alerts" either. I've checked alert preferences and every box is checked. But when I go to "unread watched threads" (http://www.disboards.com/watched/threads) I see posts have been made without me seeing any alert.
