Forget 5 in a studio...3 in a two bedroom is heaven!

We had room 1722, a dedicated two bedroom for me, DH and DS, 4. Room was in really good shape, a few nicks and stuff, but you really, really had to look for them. Beautiful view, close to HH. Pool was heated, so we went in a few times. DH liked the new slide.

I'm one of the lucky ones, I guess. In about 20 separate stays at OKW, I've always had GREAT rooms. I only had one with a view I didn't care for, and since we were only there one night then, it hardly mattered.

Parks were definitely crowded! Wouldn't want to be there at Easter time. Our next visit is in May, before and after our 2nd Disney cruise. This time, though, we'll be three in a studio. I'll sure miss my 2 bedroom, but we'll save that for next January.

Life is good when you're a DVC member!

To me the space and apartment style amenities are a large part of what I enjoy about timeshares in general. Though I have, and likely will again, brave a studio; it's just not the same.

We did the same this before Christmas - DW & I had the 1BR and DS25 had the studio part. Plenty of space for all.....

We will find out in less than 3 weeks. Booked a 2 bedroom @ HHI for 5 and then my parents bugged out. I waitlisted for a 1 bedroom for a couple months and then our 60 day banking rule came into play so we cancelled our waitlist and decided to just enjoy the spaciousness of a 2 bedroom for 3 people. The points difference was only 29 points for the 6 nights. We should have plenty of room to kick off our shoes.

We had 4 women in a dedicated 2 bedroom at BCV.. with 2 queens in the studio part and it was wonderful! I have stayed in a studio, too .. but do not if ii have the points.

Yes indeed! Some may say it's a waste of points, but for us more than 2 people = 2 bedrooms! :smokin:

I agree. We often stay with DS in the 2nd bedroom. No luggage in the LR, no ***** footing around whoever is sleeping in the LR, 2 bathrooms - it's all good!!

Agreed, in spades. With a pre-teen DS and DD, the four of us fit ever so nicely into a timeshare 2-bedroom. We can lounge in the living room, snack in the kitchen, find quiet and privacy in the bedrooms. We're on vacation!

This is as good a place as any to eat some crow! Before we went on our vacation this year (it was our first ever DVC stay) I posted in a thread about how there was no way I was buying more points just so my kids could have their own beds, I just figured they would tough it out on the couch for a good long while. To my surprise I found myself really enjoying the mornings in the living room all by myself, it was one of the most enjoyable aspects of the vacation. I want them to have their own room so *I* can enjoy more space! I'm really envious of you. I could completely see myself adding on in a few years to get 2 BRs, I will admit I was wrong. LOL. ;)

Oh, yes. DS would be fine sleeping with us, or on the sofa.

This is all about me! It's amazing how fast you can get spoiled.

But I've done my time in Holiday Inns.
