For what # of people is it easiest to get ADR's?

I have less that a month for before making my ADR's and I noticed that people were having trouble getting ADR's for certain numbers in their party.

My last trip I was booking for 7 and had no issue at all. That was in 2007 and the place was PACKED! Plus, I was 2 weeks past the 180 day window at the time when I called. This time we only have 3. I'm hoping that's a good number.

We were originally going to go in August until the June special came up. When we decided to go in June I was already a week past the 180 reservation date but was still able to get Chef Mickey's our 1st night at the exact time I wanted it, so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

Of course, many more people booked trips since then. I'm wondering how far past their 90 day window these people are who are struggling? I'm a late breakfast/early lunch/not picky on dinner booker so maybe that helps because I tend to get ADR's at times others dont!

Any personal experiences would be interesting!

We booked for 6 on two separate vacations and had little difficulty. I did book at the beginning of the ADR windows, though, and that helped the most. We even got a table for 6 at LeCellier for a walk-up at 645! (We had a reservation for 6 and were really late - the guy at the front was unhappy that there ended up being a free table for 6 to offer us after telling us that we were too late!)

I think 4 is the easiest to get.

Hopefully with 3 we will getthe same treatment as 4. I'm a big guy and have spent some time in restaurants in my day, but I've never seen a table built for 3!

We have always booked a table for 3 (for 10+ trips) and have had absolutely no issues.
