Why are they so darned addicting?

Years ago I thought they were the ugliest things walking around on the arms of the locals.

Now I own a Betsy in the Pink Elephants pattern and I want the accessories to go with it!

Help meeeee!!!!

I know there are others like me out there! :lmao:

LOL!! I know what you mean. I only have a few though, I got them as gifts from my sil.

I love the new prints though...

I always thought they were ugly too, but I was in the mall just yesterday and somehow walked out as the new owner of one.

I just love them too now. I think it is because they are so comfortable to carry. They mold to you. I also think we are happy when others are carrying them. Its like o good I'm not the only one.

I love the fact that they can be washed and they have so many places to put things in! Gotta love an organized purse!

I love Vera bags. I have a Java bucket tote, Java toggle tote, Petal Pink Molly, Hope Toile Molly (didn't really want this one but DH forgot my Christmas list and decided to wing it.) and a few misc wallets, checkbook cover and change purse. I really want a new one, my only thing is that it has to hold a diaper, travel pack of wipes and bottle for DS so that when we go grocery shopping and on quick errands I don't have to look like a pack mule. I am looking at the Peacock tie tote or Betsy, I like the open top style. They are very addictive, I wish they weren't quite so expensive.

I love VB bags too!!! I have the following:
Bermuda Blue Bucket Tote
Mesa Red Tie Tote
Sherbet Betsy
Medallion Betsy
Lime Geen Micro Fiber Backpack
Hope Toile Satchal with matching luggage tag
Mesa Red pocket wallet
Java Blue pocket wallet
Capri Melon zip wallet

OK, I'm obsessed!!LOL:rotfl: I really didn't like them either when I first saw them. Then I liked a few of the patterns, then I investigated alittle. I couldn't believe they are washable and have so many pockets on the inside! I love it, organized and functional. They wash really well too. I am saving for the Capri Blue On the Go bag, Capri Melon Villager and Peacock Hipster!! Love the new colors.

I don't know if you would like the tie tote for what you need. It would fit what you want but, I find when I swing it over my shoulder, then have to bend down for something for DS, all my stuff falls out! It just has that magnetic button closure. I think the Villager would be perfect and is big enough for what you need, without looking like you are carrying luggage! It also zippers closed. However, I do love the style of the Tie Tote, it's my favorite but right now not practical for errands with DS! The Betsy is great too but when I needed to fit a diaper and wipes, there wasn't too much room for too much else.

I went in to the Hallmark staore the other day to check them out. I am horrified that if I start buying them, I will not stop. Then they will have to stage a Vera Bradley intervention for me. :scared:

My sister has a lot of them and gave me one for christmas. I was less than thrilled. With her permission I took it back for a new pattern and got the New Hope (marked down $20) and am now a convert. I have been on ebay far too much trying to get matching items.

I too am a vera addict:goodvibes
I love how comfy they are to carry and the backpack style is great for hands-free shopping etc. (especially true since becoming a mom). I am tempted to try the new larger backpack but it's quite a bit of $ and I'm not so sure I could really fit that much more in it than the other backpack styles I own. I'm thinking I'll bring my "villager" with me to disney, it holds a lot.

I would go with the bucket tote...it's a little taller but not bulky like the totes so you could fit your baby requirements in it!

And yes, I am addicted. duffel, tote, bucket tote, hipster, wallets....a few others that I have "retired" myself. It's like belonging to a club, but they are so much more reasonable than a Coach bag or something! You can have 3-4 Veras per Coach!

Oooh, I am becoming addicted! I got my first one about a year ago for my birthday, and I now have 6 bags...

-Hope Toile Maggie
-Citrus Betsy
-Mesa Red Hipster
-Windsor Navy Amy
-Java Blue messenger bag
-Capri Blue Lindsay

I also have the Mesa Red ID holder and am pretty sure I'm getting the Capri Melon wallet for my birthday this year. :)

I agree, I wish they were less expensive!!

Yep, I think I'm going to ask for the Botanic Tie Tote and wallet for my birthday. My spring D&B is really dirty and looking a little ragged so this will be perfect. I love the fact that it can be washed!:thumbsup2

I am saving for the Capri Blue On the Go bag, Capri Melon Villager and Peacock Hipster!!

Do you think the On the Go bag would hold my "necessities"??? I am toggling between the Dis and Vera Bradley trying to decide. I like the Tie Tote, my bucket tote is perfect, I just want a new pattern.

I've been addicted for years. And they don't even go with my style. But I have

Pink Pansy Tote
Bees Tote
Sherbet Mimi Backpack
The original yellow hope (I don't remember what style purse it is)
Chocolat Hobo
Blue Bermuda Betsy
Chocolat eyeglass case
Chelsea zip wallet
sherbet checkbook cover
Medallion lunch bag

And I'm getting something in Pink Elephants the next day or two, just as soon as the store gets their new shipment in!

I was in one of the few stores who sell VB's around here this weekend. There were several girls in there I'd say under the age of 10 all picking out their new bags.

I almost felt out of place.

Almost!

Here's my new bag, I feel like showing it off!
