Hi, everyone. I'm new to posting but have been a lurker for a while now. I'm hoping some of you can help me out.
My fiance made reservations through Expedia for a flight to WDW on Delta for our honeymoon in December 2006. We just received an email that Delta has changed our itinerary. The new flight puts us leaving our home airport at 7:20 am on the morning after our evening wedding, a full 3 hours earlier than our original flight. While this is not ideal, Delta did not change the time on our connecting flight, so we now will be spending 6 hours in the Atlanta airport.
This is just not how we want to start our honeymoon. We are new to flying, but decided to splurge since it's our honeymoon ( we drove to WDW last April and were engaged there). So here's the question: For those of you with Expedia experience, do we have any recourse? What's the best way to go about changing our flight without huge cancellation fees? We're open to other airlines, especially in light of Delta's current problems.
I know you guys can help. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks in advance.
Michelle
