I've finally decided on the All Stars Movie for our May 2-10 trip. I realize that special requests may not be honored, but thought I'd ask for help for those who are familiar with hotel.

My 4 year old likes Dalmation and Toy Story so either would be great. I need non-smoking, would like to be close to pool & food court to minimize walking, but also would like a quiet room for sleeping at night. Is it possible to get all three? As I look at resort map, it appears that Dalamation would get more foot traffic from those who walk over from Mighty Ducks to food court, so is Toy Story quieter location than Dalmation?

How would you word a request? Should I request Toy Story # 9 or 10? Or Dalamtion #1 or 4?

Any help is appreciated!

We've stay in both dalmatians and toy story and haven't found either of them to be overly noisy.
Here is a link on how to request a specific room

...but it is not guaranteed. We actually sent the room request exactly as instructed and when we checked in they didn't even have it on file. We were lucky though and got exactly what we wanted. I've found that if you check in early it is more likely you will get what you want...but that is just our experience

It really depends on where your room is located in the building. We were in Toy Story on the first floor so when you opened the door to our room it looked right out at Andy's room and the big block arrangement. Families thought nothing of screaming and yelling and letting their kids run rampant at all times of the morning , afternoon and night.

Now before I get flamed I realize that we asked for a popular section but these people were out there starting at 5AM with their kids stopping right in front of our room and screaming their heads off.

I liked the room location because DS was right by all the Toy Story things he really liked at the time, but on the second to last day he got awakened (again) by a screaming child and said "why don't they all be quiet!" and he was 4 at the time. So it must have been loud.

Unfortunately there is no guarantee that the room won't be noisy as it all depends on who is nearby I guess. Just my .02 :)

I think Dalmations might not be as busy as Toy Story but you would have the MD guests walking past. What about a room on a higher floor and a corner room?

I would ask to be on the back side of the Toy story building. It will be a couple of more steps but it is very quite, except for you neighbors ;) It looks over a wooded area (at least it did a few years ago, please correct me if it has changed) and we could hear birds singing in the morning.

We stayed on the backside of the Woody building. It was a quiet time of the year anyway, but I was surprised at how quiet it really was.
I request, non-smoking; corner room; top floor; backside.
Our rooms so far have been very close to my requests. So it is always worth a shot.

Buzz is a neat building. BUT one side of the building is Andy's Room. (Busy) The other side faces the main road.

We stayed 3rd floor Woody back-side. It was non-smoking and quiet. We loved it.

We've stayed at the All Star Movies twice and LOVED it!!! The first time, we were in Love Bug -it was VERY quiet and a short walk to the food court/bus stop. The next year, we were in 101 Dalmations (back side) and it was also VERY quiet - short walk to the food court/bus stop. (Both times we've stayed at the Movies it was the week after Thanksgiving). I thought the rooms were really quiet - we never heard our neighbors.

Enjoy your stay!!!

We've stayed at both as well. Last year in the Dalmation area, we faced a little grassy area and it was very quiet. We've been lucky but never bothered with noise. You would think People leaving at 5:00 am would try to be a little more considerate of the other guests, we always are. The Toy Story did seem to have a lot more people walking around to look.

We were on the 3rd floor in D-1. We enjoyed facing the courtyard and it was quiet on the 3rd floor.
