For those who split your stay between 2 rooms...

Can you tell me how "move day" worked? Did you call bell services to come get your things and store them for the day until your new room was ready? Did you take your things down to bell services to have them stored? Did you plan an off-resort day for you "move day?" Any info would be appreciated. Last time we were there, we were in one room the entire time, but, based on current availability and the length of time we hope to stay, that's looking unlikely for our upcoming May/June 2018 trip. Thank you!

We ended up splitting our stay between two rooms shortly after it opened. It coincided with when we were going to the North Shore, so we simply brought our luggage with us. I think either bell services or the Luana Lounge, used for late check out, would be able to take it.

Our upcoming stay was originally split among three rooms, but thankfully our wait list came through.

Bell services are fantastic and will guide you through the move. We have done this twice. The first time our room was ready when we "checked out" so it was just a matter of moving out things from one room to another.
The second time it was not as easy but still smooth as our second room was not available right away, I think we ended up waiting about 4 hours, which we spent leisurely at the pool and beach area. We left our passports and money in a lock box at the front desk.
One thing I do know is that bell services does not have a place to hold your refrigerated or frozen items any more. They USED TO but do not any more. This changed a little while ago so be sure to either pack perishables in a cooler full of ice or consume them.
