For those who have stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in DTD...

I have read through the threads and have a few more questions:

1. I think I read somewhere that they give you a coupon book at arrival. Do we have to ask for it? What kind of coupons are in the book?

2. Do they sell tickets to Universal Studios? If so, how much are they?

3. What are their pool hours? DDs love swimming almost as much as they love Disney!

4. Are there VCRs in the room?


We will be staying at the Courtyard in a few days and are looking forward to what we hope is a wonderful experience. Thanks for your help!

The coupon book didn't have anything in it that we used, although there might be something for Planet Hollywood. I also have Disney Club and an AP and I think the coupons overlapped.

I don't know the answer to the Universal Ticket question. Be sure to check out the Disboards sites for Universal info. You can learn how to get a Fanclub card and also learn about the ticket deals from threads there. (We used the 2 year Burger King deal -- ordered on line with the coupon number, and picked up our vouchers from will call).

The pools closed about 11pm

No VCRs in the rooms.

I really like this hotel, especially for the bargain rates. DH and I may stay for a 3rd year next August!

also, before you go anywhere, check with the lady set up behind a counter next to guest check in (*not* the Marriott Resort vacation counter & not the Marriott Rewards desk, it was a counter to the right of check in next to the window & to the left of the doors out). She overheard me mention to my friend that was also staying there that I was on my way to the Rainforest Cafe & she handed me a special coupon that gave me priority 30 minute walk in seating & a free "chef's appetizer" (a chicken quesedia). This was especially handy as walk in seating had a 1 hour & 45 minute wait (on the Sunday before Labor day about 8:30pm).

I'm pretty sure they offer other single coupons like this if you ask.

#3 Pool hours are I think 6am to 11pm if I remember correctly

#4 NO VCRs in the rooms but they do offer pay per view

My daughter & I will also be there again Sept 21 thru 24th ;o)
