I tried to do a search for all info re:cbr, BUT, you can't search for a term that is less than 4 characters! AND, since everyone refers to it as CBR, searching for Caribbean didn't help!

Anyway...I'm looking for info re:CBR -- I think I want to stay there the last two nights of our August trip. We'll be at BCV for the first five. My kids LOVE to swim and the 'beach' at the CBR appears to be pretty cool. Can anyone give me more info: regarding the swimming/beach there? Pics would be great, too!

Thanks!!
Pam

I'm sure she will see your post and reply. CBR is a nice resort we have stayed there 2 times. You can rent bikes and small boats as well. Each area has a quite pool and the main pool is Old Port Royal. It had a small slide and a few water cannons. Thre also is a bar and hairwraping area near the pool. Youy can see some of Epcots fireworks too.

There are hammocks on the beaches however you can not swim in the water at the beaches. Some have a small play area. There is a playground on site as well.

I hope this helps. Deb willis site was plenty of pictures. Click on accomdation then click on resort pictures.

Hi! We stayed at the CBR this past June 2002 and just loved everything about it. You can go to our web page for some pics! http://community.webtv.net/sktracy
We stayed in room 4251 which is Jamaica on the second floor with a water view (extra $, but not much, and well worth it). The ice machine was right around the corner, the stairs on one side went right down to the white sand beach, playground, and hammocks. The stairs going the other way went right down to the Jamaica pool and the laundry. The view from the walkway right outside our room was spectacular of the lake. My DD5 loved going in the lake just a little as you're not allowed to "swim." She waded. The beach was a blast. The hammocks were the ultimate way to relax after a day at the parks. I think the advantage of a water view room is that you guarantee yourself not to be looking at a parking lot or being next to a noisy pool (I dunno why they call them quiet pools anyway!).... The walk to the eating area and main pool was about 4 minutes so it's not super close but the walk lets you take in the whole resort. You get to cross the bridge to Parrot Cay island (where you can view the Epcot fireworks if you'd like) and you get to see fish, ducks, turtles, etc. We loved everything about CBR. We felt the food was great and the eating area has now been re-done. I don't think you'd go wrong. Also, the bus stop at Jamaica is the first one picking up and dropping off so that's a huge advantage!
Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing your pics -- they were great! The view from your room was fantastic. We originally were going to stay just one night after our 5 nights at BCV, but I've decided to entend it to two so we can enjoy CBR more.

Thanks again,
Pam

Glad you liked them, Pam! We're going back in August '03 but we are staying at the Coronado Springs...changing just for the sake of changing. That way we can compare the two. We'll probably stay somewhere else when we go a third time, again just to change it up a little.
