Did you miss your "original" ship when you went on the other - or did it not matter much to you? Just curious. :boat:

Made no difference to me. I first cruised the Magic, did a 4 night Wonder, then the 10 night Magic. The biggest difference I felt was Tritons/Lumiere's. Other than that, they seemed very similar.

The Magic holds a special place in my heart as I sailed on her first, but I like the Wonder just as much...the ships are so similar you won't really notice you are on a different ship....

Here is a link to the comparison of both ships that someone posted once before....though the ships now both have the Cove Cafe and the comedy clubs are now a sports bar called Diversions on both ships.

I have cruised on both ships - the Wonder in August 2000 and the Magic in October 2004 and loved both of them. Just the fact that one is cruising on Disney is all that is needed to have a great vacation and I never missed the other ship.

WE love both ships. The only thing we like better is that the cruise is longer on the Magic!!! They are both awesome!

Both ships are great. I prefer a 7 day cruise to the 3 or 4 day, but it doesn't matter if it's the Magic or Wonder.

You just answered a question I placed on a thread about the new Southern 10-day cruise. I wasn't sure if the Wonder had been updated yet.

We've only been on the Wonder once. The Magic was our first and you always remember your first.

Boy, your "Babies" really grew up in 7 years.

I treat them like they are both "home." DS, 9, knows his way around, so it has helped us to have the identical deck plans. Only issue is having to remember what the name of the buffet restaurant is for the ship I am on, as well as the entertainment venues on Deck 3, fore.

Always jokingly say I like the Magic better because the cruises are longer, but aren't the 10 and 11 day itineraries on the Wonder, so maybe that is "The Wonder Strikes Back".

We've sailed on both and love them both. The differences are very very minor.

I first sailed on the Wonder in Jan 2003, then we sailed on the Magic Feb 2004 then the Wonder on August 2004. I felt very good about being back on the Wonder. It has a special place in my heart. My Mom, DD and I had 'girls' trip on that frist cruise, then DD and I did a "Mommy and me" trip.

Now, keep in mind, this is all subjective. The Magic has longer cruises but the Wonder has my heart.

My thoughts exactly. We've now done about 3 cruises on each ship and I don't even notice the differences (which is mainly just the decor).

Thanks for all the replies. :sunny:

I know I'll love them both because they are basically so similar. But I do feel that special "pull" of my heartstrings when I think of our previous cruises on Wonder as they were taken at what was a very emotional and introspective time for me.

LOL Dreamer - maybe we can compare notes and discuss this further on our upcoming cruise over a Bahama Mama or something, OK? :)

You got it, Linda! Make mine a virgin!

We love both the Wonder and the Magic. Like stated above the only thing that makes the Magic more special is the length of the cruise, ecluding the 9/06 Wonder cruises.

Ahh, there is one huge difference according to our 5 year old daughter.

Last September on the Wonder she lived on the chips and cheese (nachos).

This past week on the Magic, they didn't offer her favorite little snack. She was sooo disappointed. We asked our server - Toney - and he said that we must have been on the Wonder.

Our first was the Wonder and our next 5 were on the Magic. It isn't that we miss the Wonder because it was the first, we miss it because we have cruised on the Magic so many times.

The differences seem so minor to me. I love being on either one of them.
