I'm wondering how rope drop for Peter Pan on non emh says has been going. Did you go through castle or another route? Has the castle been opened after the show fairly quickly?

For reference:

Three Routes to Peter Pan.
Things are not always done the same way every day.
You must choose your route on the day-of, based on conditions that day.
The shortest route would be through the castle.
It usually IS open, but its not always open.
If the "through the castle route" (green) is closed, choose whichever of the others you prefer.
"West of the castle" path (blue) may be a bit shorter than the Liberty Square (orange) route,
but how the CMs open the ropes may affect which way you can go the earliest.

BTW, the Orange-colored path allows guests with strollers to drop them off before heading
to the ride.

FWIW, at Spring Break, the path through the castle was delayed so the people who used the blue path from Robo's post actually got to the ride ahead of the ones going through the castle.

yes, you can see it on Robo's map, on the other side of the carousel from what the direct path from the castle to PP is.

On the map, near the "sel" in Carrousel.
That's the problem:
It's on the other side of the carrousel, which is quite a bit out-of-the-way from the direct path to PP.

We took the "blue route", per Robo's map, in mid-June on a regular 9:00 am park open. We didn't even enter the park until 8:47, and headed to the Hub. (We are not hard core rope droppers, so this was the plan.) We weren't right up to the rope, of course, but honestly, it wasn't that crowded. Our aim wasn't to be first; it was to stay out of the 7DMT crowd. They did hold the very first people on the blue path near the castle, but by the time we got there, they had let them through. We entered the PP line at 9:04 and exited the ride at 9:20. This was perfect, as there was just enough of a line for us to enjoy the interactive features in the bedroom in the queue. I like to RD PP instead of using a FP, all because I love the queue!

People who used the orange path were kind of going against the flow of people getting in line, and had to head down and backtrack to get in at the end of the line. I don't think that would cost you significant time, but for me it felt less chaotic to be walking in the same direction as the line was forming.

We plan on going with green. It's our first park day, and we like the idea of going through the castle. I'll just have to deal with going around the carousel to drop the strollers off at "sel" ;)

Thanks! I am so excited, not long now

We aaare planning a 8am BBB(Hopefully. I assume they closed the castle for. The morning show. What is it like on the other side of castle during The show? What is it like on the other side of the castle at rope drop? When does the path to BBB clothes for the show, or does it? How does that all work?

When you arrive you will be directed to the left of the castle with the early dining crowd. When you get behind the castle you will see BBB on the right hand side of the castle and CRT on the left. Straight ahead the doors to the castle stage will be closed and you won't be able to see through them at all.

After you are done you will be held behind the castle until rope drop, at which point you can head wherever you want to go.
