I've met Pete a few times. Each time getting to know him better and better. And I have to say he is an awesome generous guy. Someone to actually look up too. Like Thunder Monkey said, he started this as a fansight and now gets to enjoy working. That's what I want to do (although not a website persay). I've met Corey a couple times and Julie once or twice i think...both awesome. Both funny. Reminds me of me and my boyfriend. Walter I've met a few times...i think we get along great . lol. Bawb I met once briefly. But ive never met John or Kevin... I need to meet them...
I have to say, the podcast crew is a bunch of friends working together...something you dont see very often, and its awesome to think that sometimes you can just make things workout to the best situation

I sent my first email while plotting a surprise for DH's birthday trip. He wanted us to donate to Children's Wish & I was trying to figure out how to present it. I got the email from Julie that my email had been chosen & I was bouncing off the ceiling.
I emailed other DIS'er friends, family - even DH. Then I told DH he was not allowed to listen.
Just before we left, I started a thread to let everyone know how much I raised - just from family who would've bought for him anyways. I actually don't remember the amount anymore - I know it was over $400. We were listening to the podcast in the car on the way to Buffalo (Toronto is WAY too expensive for flying) and Kevin mentions my thread in forum watch. He figured it was fair game since it was posted. Makes sense. Except DH still doesn't bother coming around here. Had I been driving, we would have been in the rhubarb for sure. Thankfully he was driving & heard my username, but then heard nothing over my exclamations as I tried to pause the podcast!
And yes, the exclamations were G rated - DD was in the back. I tend to shout things like CRUMBS!

I had the great pleasure of meeting Pete, Kevin, John, Bob, Julie and CorEy at the podcast meet in December.

I was pretty shy walking in to that room by myself as DH wasn't feeling well and I went alone. Each one took the time to welcome me, introduced me to others who were visiting and made me feel totally at home. I've never met a more welcoming group of strangers in my life. My fondest memory was of Bob offering to walk me to the boat launch so I wouldn't be walking alone at night. I declined, as I knew I was safe as it was still early and lots of people around. He told me he would watch me from the windows then and make sure I got to the boat. Not sure if he really did, but when I got to the boats I did turn and wave bye to him just in case.

Okay, That is so touching it brought tears to my eyes. Bawb enriched so many of us with his wonderful character.

I'm not even sure if this counts as contact but Will sent me an email regarding a question I had sent in and then that week he also read the email on the show. Yes, I was giddy in a weird 'mine was picked out of how many' way but then I got scared in a 'don't want Mindy to put me in a cauldron due to Will reading my email' kind of way.

I'd love to meet the rest of the crew and would love to meet Walter and pick his brain about plants I can put in front of my house that I can't kill. I swear I have a poison thumb when it comes to plants.

My first podcast experience was having my voice mail played and the crews response. Pete said " 2,3,4, and 5? OMG woman!" to hearing the ages of my kids,LOL!

I have never met Pete but he cracked me up when he responded to my voice mail with "OH MY GOD woman! " In fact when people meet us and asked the kids ages or a waiter approached our table the whole time we were at WDW on our trip I heard Pete's response in the back of my head!

I almost met Bawb. I was at the AK 10th anniversary and went to the JR talk and was looking for him and John and Kevin. My DD2 had to go potty and being newly potty trained and knowing Johns aversion to kids figured my 2 yo having accident while meeting them would not be good. Bob's advice was to nap and go eat early when I called in and that is what we did! Wish I could have told him his strategy worked.

I met Julie, Corey, Kevin and John at the memorial meet after BOB died. I also meet WildeOscar!

All nice as can be! Julie and Corey are a gorgeous couple and will have one heck of a cute baby! They are both very friendly.

John and Kevin are nice! They came and sat at the table I was at, John is shy Kevin is not, LOL!

I have to say when I was at the meet I was a little star struck and felt like a babbling idiot! LOL!

The crew has read some of my emails and played one of my voicemails before but not until they played my review of the sunrise safari did I truly feel the . Both Kevin and Julie recognized me and Kevin said that I am an active member on the boards. Needless to say I was excited...they know who I am!!
