For those who have gotten SW credit cards refunded not funds

I was able to change a $133 Fun Fare to a $49 Internet Fare for 2 tickets giving me a credit of $168 in ticketless travel funds. Can I get this credited back to my credit card instead and how would I do this? Thanks!

Call, ask, beg and hope to get a nice employee. Technically it's only refundable if your original ticket was fully refunded or if the change is the exact same class of ticket. You went from fun fare to an internet fare. The only way you get a credit card credit is if you get lucky.

I have never had any luck getting them to refund the money, but other people on this board have been successful. As suggested, I called the Customer Service # and I asked very nicely, but alas, no luck. I currently have over $400 in travel vouchers (the vouchers were issued once the year expired and I asked for an extension) which are going to expire on October 15th and, unfortunately, I won't be able to use them

The travel vouchers are not very user friendly. You can't book online with them and you must present the vouchers in person at the airport within 24 hours of a making a reservation. If you aren't able to get the refund, I recommend using the ticketless travel funds before you have to ask for an extension and receive the vouchers.

My sister just had her credit card refunded about a month ago. The sw agent on the phone said she could not get the money refunded, but gave her a different phone # to call. It may have been a customer service number. Sorry I cant ask her now, she is on her trip. Anyways, she was refunded with no problem

I called the SW non-800 number and explained what I had done. The person on the phone looked up the confirmation #, confirmed the amount and said the money would be refunded to my credit card within 10 days. It was very easy to do.

a ? about the travel vouchers: if you can't book on-line, can you call SWA and ask them to book an internet fare for you, or a DING fare. Or can you only book a more expensive fare, then have to get to the airport within 24 hours to pick up the ticket?

you definately have to go to the airport to "use" the voucher

if memory serves me right, we were able to book with reservations ( the best rate at the time ) and then had til the next day to confirm and book it by using the voucher at the airport, they even had to do an over ride to get us the best fare when they did that at the airport

SW travel vouchers are not the "best" due to the procedures you have to follow in order to use them

Right, you call SWA and they make the reservations for you (I don't think it will be an internet fare or a DING fare, but I'm not positive about that). You then have 24 hours to get to the airport and present the vouchers to pay for the tickets. Obviously, not ideal.
