I have some questions for anyone who has done the Wishes Dessert Party. (We are a family of 6). On another thread, someone posed something about gratuity. Do you have to pay gratuity for this and how much would you suggest if you do. Also, we have an 8:20 ressie with Wishes starting at 9pm. Are the people staggerd in and is seating first come first served, or are the tables reserved? Do you start eating when you get there, or doest it start closer to Wishes time? Also, how long is the dessert there for you to eat? Do they start packing it up right after Wishes is over? Thanks for any info you can give:thumbsup2

1- Yes. But you really want to arrive early for an ADR, anyway.
2- No.
3- Yes.
4- Yes.
5- No.
6- Mixed reports. At LEAST until show-time.
7- Some reports say that it starts going away when the fireworks begin.

Hi, I was the "gratuity lady" from the other thread. Still waiting on that question .... but now i have another for you.

They told you 8:20 on a night when Wishes is at 9pm? I think that's a mistake, everywhere i've read it says that the party strats one hour before Wishes (in your case 8pm) and they often said to arrive 15-20 minutes before party start (7:45-ish for you). I would double-check your time frame.

Our Wishes is at 10pm ... so they told us 9pm start for the buffet.

Hope this saves you some grief, and gives you more dessert eating time :wizard:

Btw .. i asked party "end time" and cm said there was none posted.

They did tell me 8:20- I asked a few times. I will definately show up by 8pm. The cm did say to come 15-20 mins earlier than our ADR time of 8:20. When I checked our ADR's online, it does say 8:20 also. I figured that the dessert was there until at least Wishes was done.
I also found the gratuity answer. On the dis unplugged page that has the info about price-I went back and re-read it and it says the price is $23.XX including tax and gratuity. So it is already in the price:thumbsup2

I had read price included tax and gratuity, but that's not what CM told me on the phone ....she specfically said gratuity not included. By the way price has increased to $27.68 per person (at least that's what i paid). Please share if you paid less :rotfl:

A thread on the restaurant board says that cms are telling people that's its "standing room only" for the party. They didnt mention that to me, you?

I may call back and get some clarification :confused3

As with everything at WDW, what happens on nights A-B-C may or may not happen on nights X-Y-Z.

I have read so many reports with conflicting info on when
the desserts were replenished on the tables.
And also the time when they
removed the remaining desserts...
at the start, during, or end of the fireworks.

Regarding the "seating" or standing room"
I have not seen any reports of the changes (if any) made in the actual Noodle Station restaurant during the very recent refurb.

They may have redesigned the place allowing for more viewing areas
for the fireworks. These may include more tables with a view, OR
they may have decided that the viewing will mostly be standing
along the rail.
-OR- They MIGHT have just repainted the place and made no physical
changes at all.

Time will tell.

I just booked mine for May 14th for 4 adults and 1 child and my total was $106.45. So I am calculating that at $23.42 per adult and $12.99 per child. Less then you paid.

I called from the Uk and booked we paid $23.42 adult and $12.77 child total $36.19 told tax and tip included.

Also told to get there one hour early... ie 9pm for a 10pm wishes... desserts would be there until they can all been eaten !!!! (Getting there on time as I wont be happy if others are being greedy! )

I also paid the $23 price, and was told to arrive one hour before Wishes (9:00 for a 10:00 show). But I was also told gratuity was not included. Not sure how much of a tip they expect for a buffet - I'll just wait and see what kind of service I receive. And I was told "standing room only for Wishes." I assume they mean that there will be tables, but not in the Wishes viewing area.

I paid the $27 price but I am a larger party so gratuity is automatically included or that is what I was told.

It is standing room only for the actual fireworks. Be advised though that the railing will be designated for handicap and wheelchairs, so you could be bumped.

They stagger the reservations once they hit a specific amount of people so that the line is not horrendous in the beginning. Don't worry though, you will either wait outside in the line or in the dessert line..

O.K....so I just called to clarify the prices and she told me that we paid $27.68 per adult, due to the fact that it is during a peak holiday season (Mar. 29), and that those who paid the lower price of $23.42 must be going during a slower period. I also wanted her to clarify the gratuity...I was told yesterday by the CM that gratuity was not included, but the CM today read right off the screen that tax and gratuity were included in the $27.68. She also told me that yes, there are tables assigned. It sounded like she knew what she was talking about, but who knows :confused3
