We are also "just back" and wishing we were "still there!" We tried evening EMH Wed. at MK. You can pick up wristbands for EMH at entrance to MK or at several other places around park (I know they were distributing next to Magic Carpet ride in Adventureland).
Wristband distribution begins 2 hours prior to park closing (beginning of EMH) and you can pick up wristbands anytime during EMH. We knew that we weren't going to arrive in MK until after 9:30 since we were doing dinner and Illuminations at Epcot so we confirmed this with Poly concierge and MK guest relations.
We arrived at MK at 10:00 p.m. We have 2 dds (2 and 4) who we let take very late and long naps (until about 6:00 p.m.) I've read some negative reviews on EMH but we thought it was GREAT! In 2 hours we (or some combination of "us") rode (please remember ages of our children if you question some selections

)
Magic Carpets - twice (no wait)
Jungle Cruise - once (10 min. wait)
Splash Mountain -twice (no wait - there were empty logs going down)
Big Thunder MRR - once (10 min. wait)
Mickey's Philharmagic - walked right in
While dgm (darling grandma) was doing Philharmagic, the girls and I rode:
Carousel - 4 times (no wait)
Dumbo - 2 times (no wait)
Peter Pan - 2 times (stayed on ride twice)
dgma also rode Snow White with no wait.
At midnight, as we were leaving, characters (Mickey, Minnie, Captain Hook, Lilo, Stich and others) came out for autographs and pictures in front of castle. Yes, they did do Kiss Goodnight (I did not know that was what they called it either but it was beautiful!)
We arrived back at Poly at 1:00 a.m. and slept in the next day but LOVED EMH and would DEFINITELY do it again. For us "night owls" it is wonderful and we hit more rides in 2 hours than we could have covered in a day! We are SO ready to go back - time to begin planning again...
