So I'm going for my second in August. I know I sound like a noob, but I have a lot of questions:

How is it different the second time introduction-wise? Do I have to do Traditions again? Do I have to go to the housing meetings?

If my role is different, can I still pick up shifts from my old role? Last year I was Merch but this time I'll be Main Entrance. Can I still pick up shifts in Merch?

I seriously can't wait to go back! :yay:

1. If you've worked before a year has passed, you won't have to take Traditions again. As for the housing meeting, it's up to you. I've always felt you should go (I've gone all 5 times), but they don't take attendance.

2. As long as your training is still up to date, you should be able to. I still pick up character attendant shifts (and I'm currently in attractions).

Awesome! Thanks for your answer. I probably won't have to take it then since just stopped work in January. Will they have that all figured out during check-in? Like, will they try and sign me up for Traditions and I'll have to tell them? Or will they just know.

Thanks for your answers. Sorry for sounding like a noob, I'm just trying to figure out how my first few days down there will be different and how much extra free time I'll have. :)

I think this may have changed. My daughter ended her first CP January 2nd 2010 and returned for summer alumni on May 17th and they made her do everything again. She is in Merch for both programs.

It depend's on when you start your program's. If there is more than a couple days inbetween your program they make you do traditions all over again.

A good number of CPs are switched to seasonal status after their programs end & arent told that they are seasonal. Seasonal CMs don't have to do Traditions again, since they're still CMs & just switching roles/statuses. Since your daughter had to redo everything, my guess would be that she wasn't switched to being seasonal after her program ended in January. Being switched automatically to seasonal after the program ends really depends on a person's record card & their managers. (I had 2 reprimands & technically shouldn't have been switched to seasonal, but I talked to my managers & they were able to get me switched to seasonal.)

That's weird. I didn't have to retake Traditions again in between any of my programs (I only took it back in 2005).

That's cool info. Can I call to find out if they switched me to seasonal? I didn't have any points at all on my record card so maybe I am?

I thought it was weird when I went to do the interviews this year they told me that I was still on as a cast member. I just thought they hadn't gotten around to taking me out of the system yet, but maybe that means I'm considered seasonal?

Does that mean the two tickets I had left over from my last CP are still good (free tickets to let others in)? Ahhhh wishful thinking.... :wizard:

The easiest way to tell would to be to login to The Hub (which in and of itself would be a good sign) and look at your record card. If you were converted to Casual Temporary status, your job title should have the "WDWCP" dropped from it (e.g. an Attraction Host or Hostess would go from "WDWCP Attraction H/H" to "Attraction H/H").

As to your Blue Main Entrance Pass, if you were converted, it should have remained valid during the interim (unless it was issued prior to January, 2010). If not, it became invalid upon your previous separation from the Company.
