for those who have done eluxe and moderates

we have stayed deluxe our last 4 trips - mostly because I like the transportation option of the monorail or walking from EPCOT or DHS back to hotel....

we stayed once at POR and liked it -
we are considering a Christmas trip next year and would like to have a cheaper trip if possible - my quuestion is do they run MORE buses during times when there are more people like at holidays or are the waits at the bus stops longer?

I really hate waiting more than 20 minutes for a bus???? and from the moderates it is bus everywhere - don't want to regret the decision with holiday crowds and waiting in bus line (I am prepared fro lines everywhere else!!)

Disney adjusts all bus routes on an as needed basis.

See what kind of discount you can get at the Swan or Dolphin.

Consider staying at POP. POP doesn't share buses with other resorts and only has one bus stop. The bus service is excellent. Moderate resorts give you nicer theming and a table service restaurant.

I was at Disney World over the 4th of July, and the busses were awesome! Most of the time we waited under 5 minutes for a bus. I was actually teasing my dad that he was my good luck charm, because I have never had such short wait times for the busses in all of my trips to Disney World.

Still, imho you can't beat the convenience of being on the monorail line. But if you are trying to save some money, I think you will be fine with the busses.
