For those who have booked with free dining...

I currently have 2 reservations to compliment the weekends of our DVC stay. :smooth:
1st, 8/13-16 All Stars, 2A, 1C, 1 day base, no ins, $455.47. This is an add-on to our original plan (cheaper than child care and food during this time!).
We are staying at BWV 8/16-25 on points and are paying for our dining during that time (planned ahead of free dining-I think DVC with dining is still a great deal!).
2nd, 8/25-28 POFQ, 2A, 1C, 1 day base, no ins, $658.03. The dining was cheaper than staying at the Dolphin at $129 with DDE.

August can't come quickly enough!

Hi ,

Ohiodisneyguy, what discount? I am holding a room through AAA for exactly the same por but the rate is alittle higher.

thanks!
The package assumes value season for the values and the moderates, as opposed to regular season. A little added bonus!

Cindy's Breakfast - Thursday morning (couldn't beleive we got in)
Coral Reef - Friday evening

Taking amtrack for the four of us $234.90 (AAA discount)

This adds to our 5 nights at the BCV and we're purchasing dining through DVC. Honestly this is probably a better deal than an AP rate here.

I would like to know also! Air fare is the only thing keeping me from booking a trip! I was quoted over a 1000.00 for 4 just for air fare from southwest for Aug.

Hey mrslur, who did you book your RT from Philly thru? I have been looking for August and everything has been really expensive. I can't believe the 1167 includes your airfare! Please share :goodvibes

I was wondering, those who have booked for 3 nights or more but only one day park tickets. Are you planning on buying more tickets once there or just hang out at the resort?

I'm going to upgrade to a 6 day hopper and my friend has an AP.
Debated as to upgrading to a 10 day non-expiration, but that cost is too close to an AP, so decided not to incur the extra expense right now.

8/13-8/19
POFQ 6 ngts
2 adults
one day base tkt each
free dining
no insurance
$1066

My air from Raleigh/Durham to MCO was $208 on AA. Not terrible, but hope it's better for other trips! Sure would be great to see those low airfares again, but don't know if I'll get as good a fare out of NC as I did for many years out of Boston!

mxtiger67,

I had already bought our tickets from ticketmania.com in December before the price increase, so since you are required to buy tickets to get the free dining I just got the 1 day base ticket for us both. We have the water park feature and all that on our tickets I had already purchased. I would not have known that I could do that (or about the free dining) if it hadn't been for the DIS! :cheer2:

September 6 - 13 (7 nights)
Pop Century
1 Adult & 1 Junior (age 15)
Standard Room
1 Day Base Ticket (we have AP's)
No Trip Insurance
$748.86

I just called yesterday (May 15) and switched from Room Only with AAA discount, which was $492.

I suspect most are like us... we have annual passes :goodvibes so we don't need the tickets. In order to qualify for the free dining, however, you must buy a package that includes at least a one day admission. Since we won't actually be using it to get into the parks... we'll use our AP's... we can put the 1 day tickets toward the renewal of the passes when they come due in December. :thumbsup2

We're going Aug 13-Aug 20 POFQ (7 nights). Yea!! :cheer2:

MYW Pkg w/free dining, one day tickets (we'll be upgrading to APs 'cuz minimally we'll go again next August, but maybe in Nov or Dec).

Our party consists of 5 adults, (me, DH, aunt, uncle, sister); 2 teens (my DD13, aunt's DD15); 4 kids (my DD9, my DD6, sister's DD9, sister's DD8), and 1 infant (my DS 17 months, at the time).

Hi!
Now that I am all booked, I hope more people will respond to this post so I can see if I have the same rate as them! This is a great post!
