For Those Who Got the QSDP Pin...

We are keeping the QSDP. We have done the regular plan in the past, but wanted to try not being tied to a bunch of reservations, also, for our family of 5(2 of our kids are considered Disney adults), to upgrade plans +tips, was going to be about an additional $850.00. We decided to just make a couple of oop ressies, then we can use that money we save on the upgraded dining to go to the MNSSHP, a waterpark, the Wishes Dessert Party, or whatever we want to do.:woohoo:

Just adding a reason to my previous post in favor of keeping the QSDP:

We have found that the 'nicer' restaurants are often not on the DDP list and thus paying for the odd OOP meal allows us the freedom not only to eat anywhere we like, but these restaurants are also easier to get into without a reservation or with a last minute one

We decided to upgrade to the DDP. There are 7 adults and 7 children in our group. We have booked 6 character meals so it just makes sense for us. We haven't been to WDW since 2005 so have never had the opportunity to use the dining plan. It sounds like a great idea. We had already booked the DDP as part of our package so I was thrilled when I got the free dining pin as I was totally not expecting it.

We're keeping the free QSDP because we like it better than the DDP. :) I'll make ADRs for 1 or 2 TS meals, probably Crystal Palace breakfast and Rose & Crown dinner (for Illuminations).

We are keeping the QSDP for 7 nights and are not upgrading. We will pay for CRT out of pocket, since that is the only TS we want. It's an expensive meal, but still almost $100 cheaper than upgrading, plus then figuring in tips.

We'll have a 12 month old, and an active, just-turned 3 year with us, so I don't really want to deal with too many long meals plus having to wait for our table if they're running behind.

The QSDP sounds perfect for our family, and even more perfect that it's free!!

We're going for 2 weeks and that's just too much CS for us, so we upgraded. We were at DW in December for a week, had the free QS and it was great! We ate at WPE most nights and really enjoyed it. This trip we're celebrating our DS's graduation and he loves many of the TS places. :goodvibes

We're keeping the QSDP. We've had DDP before, and it was nice to have sit down meals, especially during Christmas week. But, it seems to take a lot of our time if we are traveling out of the park to eat and we don't eat as much in the summer b/c of the heat.

We are keeping QS for many of the reasons above including
1) I found I was making ADR just to use up TS credits
2) All those tips add up in cost
3) This trip is for 6 nights and we want the freedom of eating whenever
4) We are keeping 3 TS that we really wanted to eat at and I added up the cost on the menus and its cheaper to be OOP

I always receive mine via Snail Mail! Although I got thsi last pin to my husband at my mother in laws address. WHen I went online and put in my pin and varified my address it was OUR address online. WEIRD!

Where can you put the pin in online? I have been looking but have not found anyplace.
Thanks
