Yay, mine changed too! Seems odd how it says "tax credit of $800 was scheduled to mailed August 8, 2003", shouldn't it says IS scheduled? Not sure what I'm doing with it yet, but I can't wait to get it!!!

You can't imagine my surprise and later the horror when my next door neighbor brought by my check this evening. Evidently the postman put it in the wrong box

I am thankful he wasn't away on vacation or anything like that.

I have it now..and that's all that matters.

Well I just checked and we don't qualify. Our adjusted gross income is too large. What is too large anyway?

I checked the website and I am getting a refund but it is NOT any where near what the rest of you all are getting. How do they figure it anyway? I have for 4 kids 3-15 yrs and am getting less than 100 dollars back. Any ideas?

noabeliv - They base the amount of the refund based on your adjusted gross income and the amount of the child tax credit you were able to claim on your tax return. I didn't get the full amount back either and I called and this is the info they gave me.

oh well me and how many others wont worry this year about it maybe next year

Thank you so much for posting that. As I read the first page- I tried over and over again. I knew I had the SS# right and that we definitely qualified- but reading all the other posts about what it was supposed to say (the amount) and mine wasn't- I was wondering why it wasn't! (we should get ours mailed in the 2nd mailing- Aug 1st).

So anyway, I had it in as 3 dependents... 3 children. LOL I changed it to 5 for all of us in the family and now it says it correctly- $1200 mailing on the 1st. Woohoo!

Another poor soul here. We make so little the IRS forgets about us....LOL! Of course I could REALLY use the money so to me it is just sad!

I thought we may qualify but alas no....hmmmm...how do I break this to my husband? We were hoping to use it for some bills.
