For those there now, 12/30 - ??

We just booked the 4 night cruise leaving next 12/26, best deal was through Costco travel, I couldn't get over the points we would have needed!! Anyway, was thinking of staying on in Florida for New Years, is it really that crazy now? My thought is to only try to do the MK and Epcot, but if the crowds are that insane, is it worth it??? Or just stay in the resort for 3 days, but if the weather isn't warm, that would get old!! So thanks from anyone there now!!

Hello! We live nearby and are going over tonight just for the new years eve celebration. We are saying at the Dolphin. It is in the high 70's this week. It will almost reach 80 for the rest of the week. It will be really good pool weather!

It is crazy at Disney during these weeks, but in my honest opinion, a New Years Eve at WDW is awesome! It is so fun celebrating with so many people and with such a great fireworks show!

I am jealous that you are going on the cruise - have lots of fun!

I just got home from Florida on Monday, and the crowds were horrendous!! They were much, much worse than last week, the week that included Christmas. AK closed by 9:30 on Monday, MK soon after. I was there over New Year's last year, and actually the most pleasant day was Jan 1, since pretty much everyone was suffering from hangovers, so they didn't do any of the parks. Due to the way the holidays fall this year, there are many locals who come to the parks who might not ordinarily go. The weather sure is great, though, in the mid-70's and sunny. It beats the midwest any day
