Where do you place it when you're at the parks all day? I love the idea of dinner cooking and being ready when we return to the campsite. I'm just a little unsure about leaving the crock pot on in the camper all day. Do any of you leave them outside while on? I'm even a little unsure about that too lol. I'd just like to know how everyone uses theirs thanks! :)

I leave mine inside the camper, sitting on stovetop. Some leave theirs outside on tables which is probably fine too. I don't because of worrying about the "out of nowhere" storms. Some people leave them under the canopies to keep them from getting wet, but on my visit I did this and returned to $2,000 worth of damage to my new camper and a wet crockpot. (Damn shame about that salsa chicken...)
Squirrels are clever, but I don't think they have mastered the use of oven mitts, so handling a hot crockpot might be more than they can deal with. Two legged animals can be a concern, but maybe if you label the crockpot with some discouraging menu item like "possum stew", " poodles and noodles", "snake chowder", "grey tank delight", or "black tank surprise" you could fool some of them into leaving it alone.

We have always left our crock pot outside on the table and it was always fine!!:thumbsup2

On the kitchen counter under the microwave, just like how its used at home. If your tent camping, then you have to get a little more creative.
