For those that stayed last December, when was the dates for the bounce back offer?

There was a stand-up card in our room at Pop last year describing the offer and we booked while there. The only thing about it that I didn't realize was that last year it was limited to a 10 night stay for 07. When the Visa and GP free dining offers came out, they could be booked for up to 14 nights. I found out about this too late when I called to add two nights to our ressie booked with the BB offer and was told the offers were different. By that time all the Visa and GP rooms were gone for that promo and I was stuck with the BB and only 10 nights. ---Kathy

Did those of you that booked it feel like you got a good room rate? Could you use AAA? My parents are taking DD in Dec. If they could book an Aug trip for them and our family that would be really nice! I guess I'll have to keep a watch here to see if it is offered.

We got the same discount rate that was then offered for Visa cardholders followed by the GP, however we were limited to only a 10 night ressie vs up to 14 nights with the other promos. I felt it was a wonderful savings and discount thus we've done the "free dining promo" each year it's been offered. I'm not sure about transferring your ressie to AAA but for the bounceback it had to be booked directly by the guest at the time they were s/a the resort. If they offer it again this year, I'd do it in a heartbeat to lock in the promo and not have to worry about it. ---Kathy

I think you can only use one discount - AAA or Free Dining. Not both. You pay rack rate for the room to get the Free Dining.

I'll be there 11/25 until 12/2 so I'll be looking/asking for it.

Well, the whole 'this will be our last trip for a couple of years' idea just went out the window!!!:rolleyes1 But, hey I can live with it!:goodvibes

If you booked your trip from say Sept 29 - Oct 5, would the whole trip include free dining or just that one day?

If it is offered again this year around that time, I'd love to go at the beginning of Oct and spend my b-day in the World!!!

As long as you check in by the last day of the offer, you will get the free dining for your entire stay - for instance, if you booked a 10 night stay with free dining and the offer dates are 8/26 - 9/22 (just as an example - begin on 8/26 and end on 9/22), even if you check in on 9/22 you'll get 10 nights of free dining, not just the night of the 9/22.

Just be careful to check the dates - this year the people who stayed at a WDW resort last November/December '06 were able to book ahead for free dining 8/5/07 - 9/29/07, but the people who booked when it was offered in April '07 were only able to book for 8/26 - 9/22/07. Different dates! :goodvibes

Cool. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

I just hope they offer it again!!!!

Does the bounceback offer include a discount on the room portion as well? An earlier response stated it was equal to the most recent Disney Visa/Public package, (which seemed to run the gamut as far as discount percentages). And, If I am understanding correctly, includes free dining! My questions also include:
1 . Can you book more than 1 room, i.e. per adult staying onsite during that time?
2. Is it for any Disney property, or just a particular category, or the same as you would be currently staying in?

And, an observation: It would pay to book max rooms, since it only requires the $200 deposit until 45 days prior...also, book the best room for the max days, and "downgrade" (if need be) when vacation plans are firmed up, at a later date. I assume, the would allow this? Am I wrong?

Oh, I never meant to imply that it couldn't be offered again in Dec. - sorry if that's what it seemed like.

I knew some people are considering flying down just to book the offer, and thought they should know it's being offered earlier than they expected.

We left on Dec. 1st and didn't find out they were offering it until we got home and I remember thinking, geez I didn't see anything when we were there.

As long as the new promo is as others have posted already, I am guessing Disney is figuring those guests currently at WDW on (or during) the free dine period would be interested in booking in advance for next years free dine also.
As noted before by others it goes along with the way cruise lines book current guests for future travel.

Question about the bounceback.

If you get the free dining are you also able to apply a code and get the discount too. I know I saved $552 with the visa code on this trip and I think I rather save on the room vs. food. We just don't eat all the food the offer.

Princess Amy, it's possible that it could be offered in Dec. also.

wdhinn89, You can't combine a code with the offer. Many people find that for their situation a room only code works better, it all depends on the individual family.

I'm kind of bummed about the dates for next year - August 30th-September 30th. We could only go for four nights because of school, Labor Day is so early next year (September 1st). :sad2:

I was looking to go over Rosh Hashonah which I beleive is Sept 31 & Oct 1 because the kids are off from school and I would add it to the weekend but I quess I'm out of luck on the bounceback.
