We are staying this December and hoping they will offer this again. What were the dates to use for this year again?

I am pretty sure it was in October. I remember being disapointed cause I just missed it by a couple of days. Though they could have done it again in Dec. Not sure.

Something Disney offered for a very limited time to guests staying on-site. During the guest's stay they could book a future trip, in a specific time frame, and get free dining.
It was a test promotion. And no one knows if it will be done again or not, or when or what time frame, etc.

I do not remember the exact dates, but we stayed around the 15th (give or take a day). Our upcoming trip was booked on the bounceback program and at one time I had heard a rumor that they would be offering it again.

They did the promotion the entire month of December. I was there the week after Thanksgiving = Dec 1 and rushed over to book my upcoming trip in Sept/Oct. I remember the latest I could start the trip was the end of Sept.

All of December. I don't remember how much of November but definitely some of it.

You could book a trip for August 5 - September 29.

Thanks a bunch!! If it is offered again this year....I'm jumping on it!!!

The first day of the booking your new trip was August 5th. I stayed from August 5 -August 12. Not sure how long it went till.

The Bounce Back Offer (free dining for dates Aug.5-Sept.29th 2007) had to be booked during an onsite stay between Nov. 8th-Dec 31st 2006.

Some people made a special trip down to WDW just for a one night stay to be able to book free dining for the next summer, simply to be sure to get it in case it wasn't offered as a promotion later. It ended up that it was offered again, in April '07, for dates 8/26-9/22/07, but everyone was scared back then that it might not be PLUS you got first choice of dates and resorts booking that far in advance.

A $200 deposit held it, but you had to be staying at a WDW resort 11/8-12/31/06 and you had to book while you were there to be able to get it.

I have read on these boards that WDW was shocked at the response - and shocked that people would actually make a special trip down just to be able to get it! JMHO but I think that since it was so popular I bet they'll offer some version of this again this year! :)

How do we find out about the bounce back offer?

I was there at the poly at Christmas and am going back next week to OKW.
Wow, I wished I had known.

That is a good question....How did they advertise this promotion? Did they tell you at check in/ check out?

We were there last December 19th-27th and that is exactly why we are going back in 36 days. I was wondering if they were going to be doing it again, too. So much for me not going in 2008. :rotfl: Oh well, what you gonna do???I geuss I just need to be thinking about where I am going to be staying, and when. :goodvibes

How else? I learned about it on the disboards, of course. There was supposed to be a notice in the rooms about it but I didn't see it. I had to go from BWI to BC to sign up - and had to wait until 12/1 but when I got there it was closed for lunch or something, but I took the information which said I could call, so I then called from my room.

It was definitely not promoted much. I heard about here on the DIS, before I left and had to run it down. I had read before I left that the kiosks would be at PO and BC. I spent all one morning trying to run it down. I took a bus to DTD, then caught the bus to POFQ. On the way over there, I realized I didn't know if it was POFQ or PORS, so called CRO. They knew nothing about it--she even asked the CMs around her and called guest services for me, but no one knew anything. When I got to POFQ I went to guest services and they also knew nothing about it, but did call PORS for me. I caught another bus to PORS where I was met with the news that the CM only manned the desk for like two hours a day and it would be after 1:30pm before he'd be there. I ate lunch and hung around PORS until he finally showed up. He then had the nerve to tell me and the couple waiting behind me that they were really surprised so many people had showed up to book it (even making a special ovenight trip down there), as they had purposely not promoted it much. He also told us that the only free dining for 2007 was going to be through the UK and the bounce back program and that free dining was definitely not going to be offered to the general public again.:rolleyes1

I did a split stay at POP and CBR that trip and never read or heard a thing about the Bounce BacK Program, while I was down there. There were quite a few people who were down there during that time that also didn't know about it, read about it here on the DIS when they got back, and then tried to book it, but was unable to do so. It had to be booked by midnight of your checkout day or you no longer qualified for it.

i remember there being a discussion about how many rooms could be booked with this offer - does anyone recall? it had to do with the number of adults there at the time of booking, i think???
i will be there this december with my mom and my daughters. we are planning a GG for next august for a party of 17. i don't know if we could book two rooms total, or two rooms each, listing our husbands as the other adults? or keep our fingers crossed for a general public offer.
we're going regardless, just trying to make it as affordable as possible.

My experience was much the same as yours - I heard about it on the DIS - no one knew anything about it at BWI - trekked over to BC - well floated - went on the boat, not a lot of exertion on that:rotfl: and there was no one at the kiosk. No one there knew anything, but someone finally referred me to a CM near the kiosk who said - oh yes - that is what this 'tiny, little bitty desk here hidden away behind the column" is for...:lmao: But she is gone and won't be back until this afternoon.... for two hours... right in the middle of a park day... Not a lot of people encouraged to sign up for the program is for sure.

Yay dissers!!!:cheer2: Saved me about $700 on food for my two foodies - DS and DDIL and myself and DGD

Sure hope I hear if they are doing it again this year before we go down. Sure would save a lot of treking to different resorts. Hmm...let's see if they will offer it again...popcorn::
