For those that only stay at the Candy Cane Inn...

Thanks for the review. Very reassuring. I've been reading that the walk is not unbearable, maybe equidistant to the Candy Cane. I will miss the shuttle at the end of the night though. It was a lifesaver for me.

If it helps, I can second the review. As a family of 6, we struggle for nice hotel rooms that fit is and Home2Suites is our new go-to as Hilton folks. We used to do Homewood Suites but being a lot closer is really nice.

I might look into a DVC rental if I can find something decent.

I wanted to do this as well but there are so few DVC rooms available that it was too late to find anything by the time we decided to try. Such a bummer.

How long was the walk for you? I've seen everything from 8 minutes to 20 minutes in the reviews,

I was just looking at that one today. I'm concerned the walk will be too long. I have enough points to get either it or the Home2 Suites for free. Those are my top two right now.
This is showing the walk from Westin to both entrances with times. Kind of a good way to get an idea. I opted for the Westin as the good nights sleep on those amazing ends was important and the walls looked more than doable based on these videos. Anyway, have a blast! 🤗

Oh man! That's such a nice walk compared to Harbor. I'm second guessing my choice, but a free, quick breakfast was very important to my husband.

I stayed at the Fairfield a couple years ago and was happy. No breakfast, but Panera and McDonald's are right next to it. The rooms were clean. The motel feel is a bummer but we were on the ground floor so it meant we didn't have to walk through any part of the building to get out.

I was looking at the Springhill Suites for the trip I'm on right now, but ended up staying with my dad at the Hilton Anaheim. The walk is definitely far. We walked over yesterday and ended up buying ART passes for our trip back in the afternoon. Its not the most direct route to get there but its fine and saves our feet. The bus was crowded this morning so I probably wouldn't want to be the last pickup on any of the ART routes.

I found this very helpful video. It calmed my anxiety about the walk.
Yeah, looks like they cut out the light waiting time (which I did not) and didn’t get all the way to security but looks like they were walking at a pretty “normal” pace.
