I just moved into a place that has ceramic tile floors. I'm not a fan of tile at all but that's what the apartment had. What the best way to clean them? What do you use that does a great job without a ton of elbow grease?

I'm so use to just using my wet jet on my laminate floors before.

We have ceramic tile floors and I just mop them with a damp mop, warm water, making sure to wring out the mop frequently. Nothing special needed.

We love our ceramic floors. Like others have mentioned above, cleaning this is easy.

I love my tile floors. They show very little dirt and cleaning is a breeze. I use a Shark Steam mop and they get so clean. I like the steam mop because tile can be slippery when wet and it drys so quickly. Plus the steam helps clean the grout as well. Another plus is it is just water, no chemicals!

Are the Steam Mop pads disposable after each use (like the swiffer), or do you have to wash the pads?

I love this, too. And my dog appreciates the fact that she's not banished from the kitchen/dining room area while we wait for the floors to dry. ;)

The pads are reusable--just throw them in the washing machine.

Just throw them in the washer. We save a ton of money not having to buy swiffer pads now and the floors get much cleaner!

Thanks for sharing all. I decided to go with the steam mop since it seems like it'll be the easiest. I ran a swiffer wet jet yesterday on it and having a bad back I know that won't work for cleaning on a regular basis.
I'm going to play with the steam mop later. Can't wait. I'll let you know what I think.

Thanks again!

Ok, just tried it out and I love it! It was so easy and did a great job. I have such a large tiled area though I'll definitely need extra mop pads. Liked that it came with the triangle head attachment too. Those will be great for the bathrooms and laundry area.

Thanks so much for the recommendation.

Do you think the steam mop would be okay to use on a laminate floor?

Another Shark steam mop user here.
My house in AZ has a LOT of tile. Love the mop. It is easy to use and really works well.
Here is WA I use it on my laminate. Love it. Can't believe how much dirt it picks up every time!!
Been using it here for about 2 years or so and no problems.

Would the Shark be practical in a home with over 2000 sq ft that is all tile? Or should I get one of the bigger systems? I don't want to have to clean a 10x10 area at a time and then have to stop for 30-60 minutes to refuel.

And how good does it clean grout? The online reviews are not great for cleaning grout areas.

I love my Shark steam mop too. I have laminate in my kitchen, laundry, family and 2 bathrooms. Before I was using a Swiffer Wet Jet and I always had a residue on the floors after cleaning. With the steam mop, no residue and no having to by the pads and cleaner.

I've been thinking about getting the shark steam mop. Just been waiting for a great price that's not on Black Friday. Which looks like it will be next week. Great timing water heater this week and steam mop next:sad2: I have tile in the bath and laminate in the living area that we got a yr ago just about. the weather's been terrible and I haven't been getting it clean all that great with the wet jet pads. Some posters on the budget boards thought the handle was a little loose. Did it seem that way? I know its really light.
