For those that have done a small add on...

( less than 150 points) Did you add on at the same villas or a different villa. How many points did you buy? If it was a different villa did you keep the same use year? We just bought 232 points at OKW and I would like a small add on before the price goes up. Convincing dh will be the hard part. There are a couple of small contracts on resale but it is hard to justify closing costs on a small contract. If I added on at a different resort (likeBCV) trying to figure out what the right amount would be (possibly 75 or 100 points). If I understand correctly the $5 off incentive is only good for purchases of 100 points or higher. Thanks.

We've just added on a <i>very small</i> 25 points at our home resort of VWL. We were lucky that there were some add-ons available for our existing use year.

For such a small amount of points, there seemed to be no advantage in having a different resort as we'd never have enough there (even with banking and borrowing) to make much use of an 11 month advatage. We decided to keep things as simple as possible and keep everything in the same resort with the same use year.

If I was looking at a large add-on, I'd probably be tempted to have a second resort so that I had two 11 month windows.

Nisie, I see you are already looking at add ons too! Isn't that funny, we closed the same week and now we are both looking at adding on at the same time. Am I an addict?

Hi there,

Much the same reasons as Hilary gave you here. We decided to add on last month to our August use year at VWL whilst the points were available, the deciding factor was we could get 2001 points and use them on our summer vacation at the BCV in July 02.


To add on at OKW through resale will incurr closing cost were if you tried through Disney they incurr the cost, thats "if" they have points available.

Started with 222 in Jan 2001, now 2 little add on's later 280, going for the 300 maybe.
